SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I get an antenna for the FM connection?

You can use an old rabbit ears style antenna or go to a radio shack and get a flat ribbon style. If you're close to the radio stations a single section of wire about 2 feet long connected to one of the antenna screws will work too.

Godmans Micro 1103. One of the speakers has blown. I have another pair of speakers with wire only ends. Can i obtain the connectors to fit these speakers Thanks

Most likely yes. There are about 10 different connector types that manufacturers use but you should be able to get what you need at a Radio Shack store. Take them a sample from the old speakers and they should be able to help you out.

WELL DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING? OTHERWISE SEND IT OUT TO SOMEONE WHO DOES. THESE OLDER TUBE SETS USE 400+ VOLTS NOT 12 TO 50 LIKE THE TRANSISTOR UNITS DO. IF YOU SCREW UP U-R-TOAST!!! WHAT IS IT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO??

When dvd plays radio comes through as well.

This unit needs to go out for service. There is an issue inside the circuitry in the unit.

Had dead battery. Now radio says I need a code to unlock it.

What type of radio is this? If it is aftermarket, then typically Eclipse and Kenwood are the only units that utilize radio codes. If it is a factory radio (Honda, Acura, Audi, VW typically), then you will need the code which is 4 or 5 digits long and located in your owners manual or vehicle documentation on a small card the size of a credit card. If this is unavailable, then you will need to visit a local stereo shop, have your radio removed and re-installed, and your serial number written down. Take your radio's serial number to any dealer for your car manufacturer, and they will provide you with the unlock code. Hope this helps.

Need a audio valve for a Murphy type 262 . do not have original?

Hi, you can get a circuit from here, and the tube you need is a 6P1. They are rare, and a little hard to find try eBay. Chinese copies, but will do the job. Found this interesting info regarding an upgrade until you can find an original

The 6P1 is a slight oddball. They do crop up for not too much money andif you have room for a larger envelope a 6P25 is a good alternative. These are both high slope valves and an American substitute such as a6V6GT will not work well here.

If you are forced to make an adapter, I would suggest using a 6CH6 (B9Abase) and adjusting the bias. It will need less bias than the 6P1 soyou can just shunt the existing resistor - taking out the errors at thesame time. This also makes it easier to refit a 6P1 when you find one.

There is more info on changing out to an similer alternative for more obtainable NOS tube.

Wurlitzer organ --need manual

I can make a copy of my owner's manual and send it to you. It's for a Wurlitzer Model 4430, also from the 1940s, 50s and 60s like the one you have. Would that maybe help? All I'd ask for is a couple of bucks for printing and shipping costs. If you want it, just reply to this post with an address or some way to contact you in order for me to obtain an address; I may be able to be talked into making a digital copy and emailing it to you if that's even legal. I'm not sure. You can look into that for me and let me know what you want/need :-)

Sincerely,
The Organ Donor
