First restart your Toshiba laptop. Press either "F1," "0," or "F8" to be taken to your computer's hard drive utility screen. The key command differs depending on the model Toshiba computer that you own.

Select "Restore Original Factory Image" from the list of options in System Recovery. Verify that you want to continue the process by clicking "Yes," then click "Next".

Restart the Toshiba laptop once the factory restore process has been completed. You will be prompted to enter information such as the date, time and language preferences.

On a laptop there is no factory setting reset option (unless you mean bios reset ). To get the laptop back to the initial 'as new' condition you need to re-install the system using the recovery disk on startup. Put recovery cd 1 inside laptop cd drive and restart the computer. Follow instructions for complete restore.
If you do complete restore you can lose all your data.

How do I reformat my toshiba A215-S7444 to factory settings. I have lost the disk. please help

If you have lost the restore disc you may need to buy the Restore disc from the Toshiba website. Please visit the following link, enter your laptops serial number and check if a restore disc can be purchased online. If not, you have to take it to the Toshiba service center to get the system restored to factory settings

I need to reset my toshiba satelite A215-S4817 to factory default

toshiba satelite A215-S4817
This is a laptop not a desktop !!
Restoring factory default settings on your computer can be done within a couple of hours, without any need for the recovery discs.
First, you need to back up any data and information that you want to keep, such as documents, pictures, and downloaded email, since everything will be erased from your hard drive after restoring the factory settings on your computer.
If you haven't restored factory settings on your machine before, do not worry.
With proper instruction, you can have your computer back to its original state within a few hours at most.

Restart your computer and proceed to Step 2 before Windows begins to load after reboot.
If you are restoring a Toshiba model, hold down the "0" (zero) key as you turn off the machine, then skip to step three.
2
Access your computer's "PC Recovery" feature by entering the correct button(s) for your machine.
This button varies, depending on the make of your machine.
HP and Dell users will hit the "F11" key, whereas Acer and Sony users will enter "F10."
If you own a Samsung model, use "F4."
3
Select "Destructive Recovery," or "Restore Original Factory Image," from the list of options that appear on the next screen, then click "Continue."
A destructive recovery will erase everything on your machine and reinstall the operating system.
4
Wait as the factory settings are restored on your computer.
Windows will require you to make date, time, and language settings on the next set of screens to follow after your machine restarts.
This process can take anywhere from a half-hour up to 2 hours to complete.

I have a toshiba satelite l300, ive lost my book and disk! i need to restore factory settings please can you help!

If you were to log on to the toshiba.com web site, I think you may be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies and Driver downloads (if applicable) as required.

Download a user manual for your reference.

Press F8 to get to the recovery partition.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Bring to factory settings

Hi,

Thanks for using FixYa!

You can always reinstall the operating system but you need to buy the software. Then download the device drivers for the laptop. The Toshiba website has all the drivers for your laptop. Another possible solution is for you guys to contact toshiba and ask if they can provide the factory restore CD for your laptop.

Have a nice day.

Reboot to factory settings w/o startup disk Satelite A75-S1253

Hi there,
If it has a recovery partition you should be able to access it by pressing the 0 key while powering the laptop on. Give that a shot and see if the Toshiba recovery wizard comes up.
