When I push a button on my remote control it opens 2 doors. I want to reset the remote control and reprogram it without resetting the receiver. I have 5 remotes and dont want to reprogram all of them. Is there a way to reset just 1 remote control?

You will have to clear the memory of one of the receivers and then re-program the remotes back in making sure you only program one of the buttons

Garage door opens no matter what button I push on the remote. tried reprogramming, cannot get past door opening or closing

Reset all the remotes by pressing and holding the learn button for 20 seconds or until it flashes. Then reprogram each button individually.

My garage door opens when the neighbor opens his garage door

somehow his controller has "grabbed" your frequency which you already know, you cant change the frequency of you garage door receiver. what you do is unplug you opener and have him reprogram his remote to his door while your receiver is incapable of being programmed. somehow your receiver was in program mode when he set his door opener up. at the back of your opener there should be a red button that allows you to program new receivers, make sure this isnt damaged or stuck while pushed in. i have tried these ideas with some success.if this doesnt work then try reprogramming both yours and his from scratch, one at a time while the one not being done is unplugged. hope this helps

Not sure if you have deep switch or smart learn button. In first situation you need to change the sequence, in the other, pressing the learn button for more then 30 sec should reset and erase all remotes from opener memory..

My control lights up on sat when i push power. It then does not respond in any way.Batteries are all new,and tested..Years ago I had a control that I would open, remove the pad, andclean the pad...

Hello, Matt with DISH Network here. If the remote is still not working, open the door on the front of the receiver and press the "System Info" button one time. When system info is on your screen, on the remote press the "SAT" button one time, and then press the "record" button three times. Try pressing select to see if it is now working. You can also try to hard reset your receiver. To perform a hard reset, you unplug the receiver from its power outlet, wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Try reprogramming the remote again with the first part of these instructions. If the remote is still not working, it may be faulty. If this has not been resolved please feel free to email me at [email protected]. Hope this helps!

Help, our neighbors can open our garage door with their remote, but not vice versa. Want to reset the code on the garage door motor, but have no manual...thank you for any help!

If one of your neighbors remote controls is inadvertently programmed into your receiver, you door will open when their remote is activated. If this happens you will need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your remote controls. Press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds or until you see the small LED light near the button turn itself off. If the above steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may be an electronic short in either the wall control button or the receiver logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from terminals 1 and 2 on the motor unit. Should the symptoms persist after the wires are removed, replace the receiver logic board. If the symptoms stop with the wall control wires removed from the motor unit, replace the wall control button, and the wires leading to the wall control button.

Just installed two Craftsmans G-Door Openers. One is operating fine the other seems to go up on its own during the day. My Area is still under construction and am wondering if trucks going by can set it...

Look at the LED light next to the SMART/LEARN button on rear of the motor unit. You may need to remove a light lens cover in order to see it. If the light is flashing rapidly this means you have a stuck button on one of your remote controls. Take the batteries out of each remote control. When you remove the batteries from the bad remote, the light will stop flashing. This remote needs to be replaced.

Garage door opener will not respond to security plus remotes

Reset the Liftmaster unit. There should be a red reset button on the unit in the garage. If this does not work, reset the breaker. Good Luck!

I have 2 sears door opener the remote not workinng we re set the coadswill not open door

FIRST CHECK TO SEE IF THE LOCK/VACATION BUTTON ON THE WALL CONTROL HAS BEEN ACTIVATED. THE LED ON THE WALL CONTROL WILL BE FLASHING. - SIMPLE SOLUTION PUSH THE LOCK BUTTON AND HOLD FOR 2 SECONDS TO TURN OFF LOCK FUNCTION.

SECOND TRY TO REPROGRAM THE REMOTES TO THE UNIT - THEY WILL SOMETIMES LOSE MEMORY IN AN ELECTRICAL STORM.

IF REPROGRAMMING DOESN’T HELP TRY REPLACING THE BATTERIES IN THE REMOTES AND THEN REPROGRAM.
