Question about Kenwood DVD & Blu-Ray Players
I have the same problem. I have a 5 year warranty from the company I purchased the unit from. I am not sure if they will replace it or not. I am reluctant to buy another one with this known issue. We have enjoyed the unit for nearly 3 years with no issues.

SOURCE: wont recognized disc
I got it work work with mine. Here's how: I removed the top cover and put in a disk to see what happens. I realized it had to be a motor problem because the dvd player was having trouble spinning the disk. I removed the part that had the motor and sprayed some air into it to clean it. It works perfectly now!!

Testimonial: "Thank you. I appreciate the input and it souns very logical. This was better information that I got from Samsung's tech."
SOURCE: I was playing a movie
Hi! Thanks for using FIxYa! Unfortunately, the optical drive has failed in your unit. It's probably more cost-effective to replace it than to repair it.
