Hi! My Lg 32ld350 brick aftr wrong firmware uploading (fault stopped at 30% progress). Now on Switch-ON TV shows LG Logo and restart. I try to service it by RS-232 and HyperTerminal to upload correct firmware. But on try catch a shell ($mstar) i see )on HyperTerminal) a memory dump (incl. stack), attempt to load RELEASE.sym (frm home) and msg: crititcal error, send reboot. Can i reload firmware now and how i can catch a shell. Kreolex, thnx.

upgrade the firmware of your tv

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. If firmware to your TV is corrupted by any way, this could happen. A firmware update might be necessary. Contact the authorized service center. Electro help

You can re-install the firmware with the latest one suited to your TV. But before doing that, contact the authorized service center, and make sure about the version of firmware that should be upgraded with your TV model. They will provide you proper assistance.

Never do any more adjustments or experiments with present condition. It might make it irreparable.

I think, you have to downgrade the firmware:

get original firmware (I dont'now where) and
use RS232 cable to PC with nullmodem cable

In case "bricked TV" I solved this way it was 32LH3000

It has been permanantly damaged, and is not repairable. To get it work perfectly, you have to replace the screen. OK.

software issue LG parts are cheap replace main board or update firmware.

I have never heard of any LG TVs having a fire issue.
LG added this switch to help save electricity. "Going Green".
You see, this On/Off switch was added to kill the power to the TV when not in use. This switch stops the TV from consuming power by not giving it power to be in a “Stand-By” mode.
If your TV does not have this switch, you could simply unplug your TV to give you the added satisfaction it won’t catch fire.
