EasyCAP USB video capture device problem

I have connected an EasyCAP USB video capture device to my analogue camcorder to display its video output on my PC. Using Uplead video capture software, I get a video picture comprising moving-colour patterns (sound OK). I have followed out the Solution #3 of FixYa and it has not solved the problem. I need your help.

Did you disbale your FIREWALL whilst you installed the driver, I found this most important. After installation enable your firewall again. I had alsorts of problems till I did this. Even so I feel these devices are somewhat unstable
