Question about Toshiba Satellite A45-S250 Notebook
Was using this lap top , and suddenly shut down. Will not power up on either AC power or battery power.
Your concern (auto shutting down) with Toshiba could be caused by excessive power drain by some of the attached devices such as the WiFi, LAN among others. On the other hand, it could also indicate that the battery is already weak and constantly requires charging and at times eats up most of the power from the adapter leaving nothing for the motherboard to use. In some repairs I have done, switching off / or removing entirely unneeded devices correct the problem. In some instances, auto shut down is caused by dirty/clogged airducts/heatsink of the processor, failing blower/fan and/or poor ventilation.
Of course, it could not be ruled out that internal problem with the power supply/regulator to have caused the shut down. Alternately, there are some viruses and malwares that could trigger shutdowns.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.

I removed the harddrive , turned off the wireless lan and even diconnected the video screen. Still nothing. Now have the motherboard out on the desk, and some very hot componets near Q503 on the motherboard near processor heat sink. To hot to touch, I wonder if this is normal?
