There is only 1 usb port on this computer, and Im not sure how to find out if it will support a multi usb out. it is an older Dell C600 latitude model PP01L running on Windows NT workstation 4.0(really old!) please help me!

All USB sockets support that, it's in the standard. But for ease of use it will be better to use a hub. But because it's such an old laptop it will surely be an 1.1 type, and the speed will be very slow.

just go to support.dell.com click on home and type in service tag or select the product model of your computer. on the drop down menu select the os - Win 98. if page has refreshed scroll down and click the arrow button beside network

Well, the drivers for the Dell C600 should work the same with any changed palmrest, I have swapped the same parts many times, so I would first assume the speakers to be bad, if nothing on the mainboard or software changed
