So USB is working fine and the cord is not faulty, could you state the model of the printer and the maker of the printer and your Operating System. Vista drivers are different from XP drivers. Did you changed your operating system? Have you installed any other software before this thing happened? I need to know what happened before so we could do the best possible solution for your printer.

Could you try another cable, maybe the cable is the problem. If not, test the port if it detects other devices. If not disconnect the printer and install first the driver and then when it asks for the printer, hook it up.

How to connect to my pc

Recommend you download the updated drive for your printer and Operating System from the Lexmark site.

You will need a USB cable equivalent to this one here to connect your pinter to your computer.

Download the updated drive. If you had already installed a drive you will have to uninstall. Connect your printer with the USB cable. Turn the printer on. Your computer should recognize the new device and look to install the driver. If not, you may need to use the Add a printer function found in Devices and Printers. Remember where you downloaded the driver just in case you need to point to the folder.

If you have any problems you can locate the User Guide for your printer can be found here.

My windows xp was reloaded and now when rehooking up my 7200 all in one, its not working. All wires are connected, original installation disk was used.

Did you install the printer software and drivers before you connected the printer to the computer by a USB cable? Uninstall any drivers that have already been installed then restart. You can get the drivers again from the web site, http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=drivers . Wait until the software asks you to connect to the printer before connecting the USB cable. If you are connecting to a router for an ethernet connection, then that can be cabled together before installing the software.

If the drivers were installed correctly, start diagnosing a problem with the cables. Try new cables, changing ports, and a known working device on the port. When you reinstalled XP, did you include the motherboard drivers specific to your machine (that will have the USB and ethernet drivers)? If you missed those steps, you may need to uninstall the printer before doing that update and then restart.

I hope this helps.

Cannot install lexmark P4330 printer to my computer. Not listed in the printer options

Hello,
If you dont have the manufacturer CD, you should be able to get the drivers here. Just enter p4330 in the Search by printer model field and press Enter. Click the Download Driver link and choose your operating system in the Select Windows field. Then on the next page, choose the Download Now link on the right. On the next page you may see a yellow security banner at the top of the browser. If so, click it and choose Download File. After that, choose Save to start the download. After the download completes you can double click the file to start the installation.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Thanks

Connection problem

Check and make sure that all of the cables are firmly connected including the printer's power cable and the cable that connects the printer and your computer. Cables can seem connected but occasionally, they can work their way loose just enough to interrupt the contact.

Check the cables to make sure they aren't damaged. It's pretty common for a cable to become damaged if a chair with wheels has rolled over it a time or two. That would be enough to interrupt the connection between the computer and the printer. If it looks like you have a damaged cable, you'll have to replace it.

If the cables are well connected and undamaged and the printer is turned on, try rebooting the computer, then see if it will recognize the printer.

If those steps don't work, you'll probably need to uninstall and reinstall the printer software and drivers. It would be ideal if you had the original CD with the printer software on it, but those disks usually get lost over time.

The HP web site has a page that describes how to uninstall your printer's software:

Uninstalling Your Printer Software in Windows

If you don't have the original software disk, you can download the necessary software from HP's site:

Drivers and Software

I didn't find a web page that provided the specific instructions for reinstalling the printer, but you can download the user's manual from the site:

Printer User Manual page

I hope the solution is a relatively simple one, but if it comes to uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, it is a "do-able" task.

Post back your results and let everyone know which solution worked for you. Good luck.

Drivers bjc-210

Hi,
windows XP should already have generic ( Basic Drivers ) for this.
I would however recommend going to Canons website, and downloading the drivers for this Model.
Alternatively, check to see if any other printers are already setup as the default printer. if so remove-delete-uninstall, then re-boot with your printer connected.

Corrupted driver

Hi,
You have not specified the exacta message that you are getting when you try to download the driver file and neither you have specified the operating system that exists on your computer, however let me provide you some information regarding the common error messages one can come across while downloading any driver file, its either due to selection of file which is not supposed to be installed on the operating system which is installed on your computer, I mean the file which you have selected is not compatible to the operating system installed on your computer, or it could be due to the older driver file which is existing on the computer as well, so the best way is to uninstall the older version driver file before you download and install the newer version form the internet, here is how you can uninstall the previous version of the driver existing on you computer:
1. Click start and then select control panel.
2. Select Add/Remove programs and select the old version of the Lexmark P6350 driver and click on Remove.
3. After the un-installation is complete, disconnect the printer and restart your computer.
4. Once the Computer has rebooted download the driver form the link which I have provided below by selecting the operating system installed on your computer and install it.
Note: Please do not connect your printer to the computer unless the installation wizard asks you to do so.

Driver Link:

Hope this post was informative and the instruction will solve your printers issue, however if the issue not resolved, please provide me detailed information about the error message, your operating system so that I can give the resolution instructions accordingly.
