PS2 Disk problem (Big play station 2)

there might be a problem with readimg or download metal gear game torrent write it in a cd and run it .

Try a different disk. If it still does not work, then get a cd/dvd cleaner and run it on your PS2.
If it still does not work...then I'm afraid your PS2 is dead. It's cheaper to buy another on ebay or at a pawn shop than get yous fixed!

Put in an original PS2 game, not a copy

Fat and Slim PS2's generally have different playability with disks. a slim, for example, does not want to play old blue-backed disks, though it will easily read PSX black backs. I'll need more information on the disk and the PS2 to give a complete answer.

This may be because DVD movies have a reigion code on the disk and on a pirated disk this code may be removed. When the ps2 fails to find the code, it aborts playing the disk. I believe the regional lockout for games (which i assume you have disabled) is a different system to DVD lockouts.

You may need to clean and readjust the laser, which is painstakingly long and hard. As there are like 7 or 8 different version numbers of the PS2 each one has a slightly different internal configuration, guides can easily be found by typing in "PS2 Disk Read Error" on a search engine like www.google.com

Sorry I couldn't help you more, I tried to fix my own PS2 about a year ago and ruined the motor drive for the tray, so will not touch or condone such unless your pretty good with small parts and electronics.

You should try to get a ps2 disk cleaner and a cleaner for your system.

try going inside and dusting your ps2 that should help my ps2 was malfunctioning i thought i bought a small one and went inside my big one i found thatsdusting the thing will make it read disks better and faster and the thing wont go disk error
