Does not 'come on' when key is inserted, but rtaher I have to go through the 'mode', select motions, then manually scan for stations. It will remember the Memory buttons slected...until I turn the unit off. Help!

OK. Here's the deal. There are two "power" input lines. A RED and a YELLOW. RED should be connected to your vehicles' ignition or key switch. YELLOW should be connected to a "constant" power supply directly from the battery.
If you have a test light, you should be able to find both at the fuse box. Just clip the alligator clip to the frame somewhere or to the edge of the cigarette lighter and probe the fuse box turning the switch off and on respectively. (test lights are very inexpensive, about 4 or 5 bucks at the auto parts store).
Hope this helps.

MEX-BT5700U, no sound in speakers in CD source, tuner source OK.

What many people do on this model is connect the remotes wires improperly. Use the solid blue wire for the amp and the blue with white stripe for the connection to the car.

How do i store the radio stations on a sony cdx dab 6650 itune radio in hold the button mem is displayed radio plays alright switch of car and ilose the station when i swich back on thanks.

have you recently installed this unit...if so, it sounds like you have not connected the constant live feed wire......there are 2 live wires, one only activates when you switch on the ignition, this is called , a " switched live feed "...the other stays live when you swith off the ignition, this is the " constant feed live "...this feeds the memory while ignition is off.. check the connections, and i think you will find this is the problem....

Car speakers cut out (no sound) when volume turned up

I would check the crossovers.
If you are turning it up too loud, then the amp may be clipping (into distortion) and this is then setting the protection circuits off in the crossovers.

Storing channels and time display

* Connect Yellow wire to continues power ( it is back-up power to memory circuit)
* Connect Red wire to switched power
You can download User Manual and Installation Guide for CDX-S2000 from Sony Support for more information.

Sound only coming from one side

you should have 3 leads going into you multi changer, two rca's and one bus lead. power up the unit and remove the first rca cable if the music goes off unplug the second rca and plug the first rca where the second was plugged in, if the music comes back on then the multiloader is working fine and you need to check the radio controller and its connections
