Question about Sony Car Audio & Video
New unit. (Purchased from Sony Outlet Store) Installed carefully, and back-checked now twice...Does not "remember any settings once turned off. Does not 'come on' when key is inserted, but rtaher I have to go through the 'mode', select motions, then manually scan for stations. It will remember the Memory buttons slected...until I turn the unit off. Help!
OK. Here's the deal. There are two "power" input lines. A RED and a YELLOW. RED should be connected to your vehicles' ignition or key switch. YELLOW should be connected to a "constant" power supply directly from the battery.
If you have a test light, you should be able to find both at the fuse box. Just clip the alligator clip to the frame somewhere or to the edge of the cigarette lighter and probe the fuse box turning the switch off and on respectively. (test lights are very inexpensive, about 4 or 5 bucks at the auto parts store).
Hope this helps.
