We reset the power at the breaker and it did not fix the problem - up and down arrows on the keypad do not respond, while all other buttons seem to work correctly. This is a strange problem that has happened to many people. We have to get the repair which means new control board and very expensive (several hundred dollars).

DSC Power 832 blank keypad and cant shut off siren?

If the keypad on your DSC Power 832 goes blank when the alarm is tripped, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure that the power supply to the alarm system is working correctly. Check the power connections, and ensure that the battery is charged. A weak battery or poor power connections can cause the keypad to go blank.
  2. Check the keypad connections: Check the keypad connections to ensure that they are secure and not corroded. Corroded connections can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
  3. Check for damaged wiring: Check the wiring to the keypad to ensure that it is not damaged. Damaged wiring can cause the keypad to lose power intermittently.
  4. Test the keypad: Test the keypad to see if it is working correctly. Press each key on the keypad to ensure that it is responding. If any keys are not responding or are responding intermittently, there may be an issue with the keypad itself.
  5. Check for a faulty control panel: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the control panel. A faulty control panel can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
If you're unable to troubleshoot and resolve the issue on your own, it may be best to contact a professional alarm system technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Why is my frigidaire fef366cce range

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are receiving an F1 on your Frigidaire range, model# FEF366CCE, and want to know what it means. The F1 means that there could be a possible miscommunication with the keypad or a possible runaway oven condition. I please ask that you try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting it off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Once power is restored, you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by pressing the "Clock" button and within 5 seconds pressing and holding down the "up" or "down" arrows to increase or decrease the time. Once the correct time is reached, release the "up" or "down" arrow. Try running your oven on the same cycle as when you received the F1 code. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

GE Gas stove knob has no stop and keeps spinning

see this cause and fix it:God bless you
Power Supply
Make sure breaker is not tripped. Check power at outlet with a voltmeter. If any part of the oven works means you have some power but you may not have full power check the cord connections.

Main Control
Check to see if you have power going to the control. To do this you will need to remove the control. This procedure varies from model to model. Check the 2 leads feeding power into the control refer to the tech sheet or service manual. You should have 110 volts going in. If you do and the control does not respond check the keypad if equipped or replace the control.

Keypad
Some controls have a separate keypad. This is an electronic pad that is sometimes glued to the control. To check for stuck keys press each button one at a time followed by the cancel key, you should feel each one retract if any do not feel right I would lean towards replacing the keypad. You might also get an audible beep after each one, if you do make sure all respond the same. Look at the keypad carefully for any burn marks.

Microwave does not work nothing on the control pad work the pad just says se

Hello

Check the power supply. Make sure the microwave is firmly plugged into a working electrical outlet and that your wall outlet is active if your home uses outlets controlled by a wall switch. Check your home's fuses or circuit breakers to ensure they have not been tripped. Without power the microwave will not respond to any input.

Make sure the parental lock is inactive. Some ovens, like the one shown in the image above, feature a keypad lock to prevent children playing with the controls. Most keypad locks can be cancelled by holding down a button or combination of buttons for a few seconds.

Make sure the door is firmly closed. Some microwave ovens will not allow any control panel input if the door is open.

Remove the microwave from the power, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. This will reset the microwave oven if there is a temporary problem with the software.

Press the "Stop/Cancel" button several times to cancel the current operation and return the microwave to standby mode. Re-enter your cooking instructions using the keypad as usual.

Keypad not responding upon start up

Hello and thank you for visiting Fixya Support, I will be glad to assist you.

Here is a process I would recommend you try to resolve the issue with your Macbook Pro's keypad not responding.

-SMC RESET-
The System Management Controller is an integrated circuit (computer chip) that is usually on the logic board of your Mac portable.

It is responsible for power management of the computer. It controls backlighting, hard disk spin down, sleep and wake, some charging aspects, trackpad control, and some input/output as it relates to the computer sleeping.

Shut down the computer.
• Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
• Remove the battery.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Let me know if this helps.
