We just purchased ipod headset model SHS370. Why is the cable not connected symetrically (evenly)? The left cord is shorter than the right side.

My right side of the headphone is not working.....not any physial damage.....at first there were just some loose connections for the sound....now its totally null......the left side is working perfect...

If you have preformed a sound test on your computer and everything seems to be working fine, I would assume the connector or cable itself is the problem. Contact the store you purchased it from or If the unit is under warranty (1 year) Plantronics will replace if for you if you still have your receipt of sale.

Good luck from Headsets Direct - 800-914-7996.

Hi, I have purchased a wireless headset for my elderly mother. I can't find an 'audio out' for the headphone connector. The headset icon on the upper left hand side of the set above the areial cable looked...

First of all you have not mentioned the model of the TV. Please check in the TV manual last page under specification if there is a headphone out. Some TV's do not have it anymore. Then what you can do is get yourself a 2RCA to 3.5 mm Phono adapter.Connect the 2RCA to the TV's audio socket and the wireless transmitter pin to the mini headphone socket.

Had about 4 pairs of the same brand of headset and after about 7 or 8 months lose hearing of sound form the left side. Always the left. their is no sign of tear in cable from out side and it cost a lot of...

The Left Side speaker unit(driver) of the headphone is different from right side. left side has more connections and soldering points, main cable goes to left side and chances of oxidization is more, because of cable movement(if cable goes to both sides of the headset, than it damages the side where cable movement is high). try to carefully open the headset and check the connectivity with multi-meter, If it is cable problem then trim the cable and re-solder. Or as you told you have 4 pairs, and you have broken ones. swipe the speaker unit (drivers). Besides both left and right drivers have different connections, it is possible with little soldering knowledge. hope you got it. thank you

Im thinking about getting a Turtle beach Headset X3 but..

The white and red connections are for audio left and audio right (respectively). If you use only the white, you'll only hear the left channel audio, not both left and right.

Ipod classic video

You need a special 1/8" cord for video output. For example the standard 1/8" cord has 2 black rings on the 1/8 plug, each ring is a channel one for left side and one for right side. You need an 1/8 cable that has 3 rings on the plug, 1 for video, 2 for Left and right audio channels. It dosen't have to be an IPOD brand cable it just needs the 3 black rings.

Good Luck
