How do I return goods to Amazon?


To return an item you ordered:
    1) Go to the Returns Support Centre, and click Return items.
    2) Find the order you want to return, and click Return an item from this order.
    3) Select the items you want to return.
    4) Enter the quantity of items, select an option from the Reason for return menu, and then add any additional information in the Comments box.
    5) To continue, do one of the following:
    · If the item was sold by Amazon.co.uk, select your return option.
    · If the item was sold by a Seller, click Submit for Approval.
    6) Select your preferred return method.
    7) Print your label and return authorization. Some returns won't require you to print a label or authorization. If you don't have a printer when you're completing your return, you can print later.
    8) Put the return authorization inside of your package and attach the label to the outside.

You realy need to contact the company you purchased the item from. If it is a computer, most of the stores will allow you to return the pruchase for 15 days with a 15% restock fee. Posting in these forums will not get anyone to come pick up your item and accept it for return. This forum is for the troubleshooting and repair of items.

Again your best bet is to talk to the place you purchased the item from to get it returned.

Need to return an item


Normally, before returning an item, you should contact the seller first and tell him/her that you are not satisfied with the item and you want a refund. Do not tell the seller that you want to return the item (not just yet). Just go ahead and file a dispute and then the seller will be requesting for the return of the item on dispute. Only then will you be talking about who should pay for the return shipping (which is usually included in the sellers return policy). Oftentimes, it's the buyer who pays for the return shipping.

As long as you are within the 30-day return period and have a copy of your original store receipt, your local Best Buy™ store should still be able to assist you with a return or exchange on your MP3 player. Please keep in mind that if the product is defective and you are beyond the 30-day return period, you will need to file a claim through the Best Buy Product Replacement Plan (PRP) toll-free hotline instead at 888-539-6883.

If you purchase something from, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, JC Penny, Sears etc. And you return the item with the receipt. They will give you your money back if you paid cash, or credit your account if paid by plastic.

Well, I purchased a GPS for my car, a Tom Tom XL.S from "Best Buy".

They have a policy that it must be returned within 14 days for a refund!

So after 4 days I returned it in the original box with all the items in the box, with paper work and cords all wrapped in the plastic. Just as I received it, including the receipt.

I explained to the lady at the return desk I did not like the way it could not find store names. The lady at the refund desk said, there is a 15% restock fee, for items returned. I said no one told me that. I said how much would that be. She said it goes by the price of the item. It will be $45.00 Dollars for you. I said, all you're going to do is walk over and place it back on the self! Then charge me $45.00 of my money for restocking!! She said that's the store policy. I said if more people
Were aware of it they would not buy anything here! If I bought a $2000.00 computer or TV and returned it I would be charged $300.00 dollars restock fee!! She said yes, 15%.

I said OK, just give me my money minus the restock fee. She said, since the item is over 200.00 dollars, she can't give me my money back!!! Corporate has to and they will mail you a check in 7 to ten days.

!! I said "WHAT?!"

It's my money!! I paid in cash! I want to buy a different brand..Now I have to wait 7 to 10 days. She said well, our policy is on the back of your receipt.

I said, do you read the front or back of your receipt? She said well,the front! I said so do I, I want to talk to the Manager!.

So the manager comes over, I explained everything to him, and he said, well, sir they should have told you about the policy when you got the item. I said, No one, has ever told me about the check refund or restock fee, whenever I bought items from computers to TVs from Best Buy. The only thing they ever discussed was the worthless extended warranty program. He said Well, I can give you corporate's phone number.

I called corporate. The guy said, well, I'm not supposed to do this but I can give you a 45.00 dollar gift card and you can use it at Best Buy.I told him if I bought something and returned it, you would charge me a restock fee on the item and then send me a check for the remaining 3 dollars. You can keep your gift card, I'm never shopping in Best Buy ever again, and If I would have been smart, I would have charged the whole thing on my credit card! Then I would have canceled the transaction.

I would have gotten all my money back including your stupid Fees! He didn't say a word!

I informed him that I was going to e-mail my friends and give them a heads up on this stores policy, as they don't tell you about all there little caveats

So please pass this on. It may save your friends from having a bad experience of shopping at Best Buy.

The return period for most products sold through your local Best Buy™ store is 30 days, but please keep in mind that there are some exceptions. Monitors, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors, video games purchased as used, desktop computers and notebook computers must be brought back to your local store within 14 days of purchase in order to be returned or exchanged.

Additionally, some products are subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned opened and non-defective. Those products are notebook computers, camcorders, digital cameras, projectors, radar detectors, GPS navigation devices, and all mobile (in-vehicle) video systems. For special order products however, the restocking fee is 25%.

Remember that the restocking fee is only charged when the product is returned opened and non-defective - we are unable to waive this fee if you are simply dissatisfied with your purchase.

Radios and flashlight from innovage wont work


I would return them to the place of purchase and tell them they don't work. Most stores have a defective product replacement policy where they'll either replace your units or refund your money. Be sure to bring your receipts.
