Excellent, thank you both Lee2fixit's and OldishFella,

I know that, it is some AC leak through DC coil that is why chatterring was occuring, but I was not sure which cap is leaking.

I am kind of busy w/ my kids now. After I fix my TV i will post my result.

    Thanks again.

Confirmation: Lee2fixit's solution also worked on a Sanyo 19" TV Model DS19580with 'buzzing relay'. Chassis carriessimilar relay (Type DG1U 12VDC II TV-5 8A 250V~ also by DEC) at location RL601and a 25VDC 470uF electrolytic cap at C622. After confirming the relay was sound and finding no obviously faultedcomponents tied to it, replaced the cap. Bingo, normal operation and a quiet relay. Will post a follow-up ONLY if the fix failsbefore the rest of the TV .. it's almost10 years old after all. Thank youLee2fixit and FixIt.com.

I got a 13" Sanyo AVM-1304 with the same problem today. Found The picture and sound were okay, but the relay chatter was very loud. Found a couple of notes on other forums saying that changing the filter capacitor would fix it. (On that model it was C022, a 470MF 25VDC electrolytic cap). I changed it about an hour ago and so far so good.

Next day - still working like a champ. Set has been on for about 6 hours with no further buzzing/chattering noise from the relay. I didn't mention it before, but this problem started after the set had sat unused (plugged in, but not watched) for several months. Guess the capacitor continued to age while it sat, but the noise didn't appear until the relay was called on. Your unit might have a different component number or rating - look for a small filter cap right next to the relay.

Just an update.... after 6 months, the fix is still good. It was definitely a bad capacitor causing the relay to buzz loudly. The replacement capacitor cost $1.59.

Just an update... after 6 months the fix is still good. Replacing that $1.59 capacitor saved this set from the trash heap!

I had the same problem with a ds25390 board. it was a 470@25v (replaced with 470@35v costing $1.25) at location c622 and an A1015y (crosses to a 2sa1015y) transistor ($1.75) at location q623. if you look at the schmo (http://elektrotanya.com/sanyo_ds25390-ctv.pdf/download.html) you will see the cap filters a/c from the coil of the relay. the transistor provides the switching to turn the relay on. while the transistor might have not been bad, it showed as an base/collector open. i replaced it anyway as the a/c would have hit the collector of the A1015y and its a $1.75 part.

I detected the noise from the relay and replaced the relay with a substitute purchased from Radio Shack < $10.00. The buzz / chatter noise continued. I read other posts and decided to try replacing the capacitor. Mine was a 25v / 470uf. Radio Shack had a 35v / 470uf for <$2.00. I installed the new capacitor and the t.v. is working GREAT! I could not have done this repair without the help of FixYa Community. Thanks!!!!!!

TV turned off by itself and now it won't turn back on

If the tv has nothing happening at all when you try and turn it back on including any noise, your power supply is broken. If it is still trying to turn on or does make noise, an internal component has come loose or been knocked off, most likely to your picture tube.

Sanyo tv ds25390 buzzing sound

I had the same problem with the same model.
The solution was to replace a capacitor, C622, which is located near
a small blue rectangular plastic component.
This component is a relay that is controlled by C622. I paid $2.39 for
the part, $8.99 for S&H for a total of $11.38. This fixed my problem!

What do I do.

Is it in standby? Have you tried pressing channel buttons on the remote and the front of the set?

If that's not it, then you need to take it to a repair shop. Could be any number of things unfortunately.

Sanyo avm 2506 tv no sound

As It only makes noise when there is no signal (without an antenna).clearly indicates that there is a problem in sound IF SECTION or loose contact in that section. your audio section section is ok as you get noise signal when there is no signal. also check remote control setting.

Relay "Chatter" with good picture and sound

Sanyo Model AVM-1304 This TV has a loud mechanical "chatter" (or clicking)that appears to be coming from RL001 on the motherboard as soon as ther TV is turned on. I can feel the mechanical vibration on the component. The Picture and sound are very good. The chassis is G6Y-13040. Any ideas? This TV has a loud mechanical "chatter" (or clicking)that appears to be coming from RL001 on the motherboard as soon as ther TV is turned on replace relay as it is easily available or make it direct. .
