Try cleaning the printhead as described in the user guide. Sometimes dirt can cause the line. If that does not work, you might have a bad element on the print head with is bad and cannot be repaired.

'Cross Cut' is what it is, bits too small to put back together. This machine has variable cuts and is designated 'P1, P2'.

Can i use any usb cord to plug my printer into tower? Moved and found power cord but not other and i forgot what it looks like.

There are various types of USB cables for various purposes.
You need to look at the USB connector on the printer and the computer.
The USB connector on the computer will be a female connector approx 13mm x 5mm and have 4 contacts on one side.
The printer USB connector most likely will be a female connector approx 9mm x 7 mm and two corners have a small chamfer.
The printer cable will most likely be 4 pin USB A male to B male type.
