I have a kenwood kac1502s amp in my truck and it works good until i put the truck in drive and start to move and the amp red light flashes 2 times and the sub speaker shuts off put the amp stays on until i...

compare the voltage to the remote turn on wire to the amp when parked and when in drive. the wire may be hooked to the wrong wire at the head unit. the wire should be hooted to a specific amp on wire, power antenna wire, or if its a stock head unit it should be hooked to a 12 volt on source.

I am trying to remove my dash so I can install a touch screen mp3 player and I don't know where to begin because everythn seems so tight and unmovable.what needs to b removed and how

Uhm... If this is the case, I would not bother asking what make model and year the car your working on is... That would be about as helpful as asking if you ever let anyone else drive it...

Seriously my point is this. If you are having a tough time ascertaining which screws to begin taking out in order to remove your dash cover...

Installing that touch screen yourself and having it work properly without blowing up any of your other components or doing further damage to your vehicles electrical system, well that may pose to be a more dificult task for you.

Take it from me, as a 30 year Veteran of Car Audio, an Iasca Certified Judge and Certified Trainer and a Promotor as well a Multi trophy winner competitor in the industry of car audio, I know a few things. For example, I know that not everybody can afford to have a shop install things...

But that would be the best advise any one here should give you. It may only cost 35 to 50.00 but you would be paying an expert to have it put in correctly. Then, if anything goes wrong, other parts of your system start acting all hinky, you can go back to that shop and have repairs performed under a warranty.

Understand this is not as simple and straight forward as hooking up a set of speakers. And were not talking about getting a couple of wires backward while doing so... (amazing how many guys do that very thing).

Now, having said that and knowing money is not free flowing. Let me perhaps also mention how most all of us have at least one friend. Now if your friend is still unsure or inexperienced, he may know somebody who has done this, or is atleast capable of doing this for or with you. simply for the added experience or the potential new friend or friends he'll make helping you.

Good Luck, I wish you well

I was reversing my car in my drive way and then put the car into park the gear shift but the speedometer reads reverse. I am unable to start the car.

Check the coupling between the auto select lever and the link to the gearbox. Most likely it has come adrift somewhere in that path.
Have a friend look at what is or isn't moving as you move the select lever, it should be obvious.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply and remember, even if you don't vote for me a please and thank you goes a long way

Car radio won't work all it keeps saying is lost TP TA, what does this mean? please help.

TP is Traffic Programme. It is set if the radio station is likely to give traffic bulletins. You can search and store only those stations with the TP flag set if you want.

TA is Traffic announcement and is set when the tuned station is braodcast a bulletin. It then swiths the audo from mute or cassette or CD to receive it.

EON is extended other networks and is only I think available on BBC stations, so if you are going along listening to Radio 4 say and BBC SCR puts out a bulletin then the radio retunes to SCR for the duration of the bulletin, or longer if they do not switch the flag off!

As for volue, it seems to take the last volume used when the TA/EON flag was last used.

As for it going silent, keep pressing the TP button until you get a full set of TA, TP, EON, REG icons up!

Do not confuse all this with RDS-TMC which drives the data for the ETA on the TNS 200 and TNS300 Nave systems.

Hope this helps.

Hi all, my problem is that when I switch off -and on- the car, the auto radio forget all the settings and restart the cd from the beginning, even if I switch off the car when it was running.. That doesn't...

It sounds as though yourred wire and yellow wire are tied together to a 12 volt wire that turns on and off with the car. You need to move the YELLOW wire to a 12 volt wire that is on all the time.
