Are you using a bluetooth box? The bluetooth box will lose power when car is shut off as it is directly connected to the ACC (ignition) lead. I am going to paste the diagram here, but if it doesn't work and shows the big red X, I will follow up with a separate comment.

Please verify if this is the manner in which your system is wired, and we will work from there... Thank you!

I believe that, regardless of the wiring of your system, you will find that this is not something you can change. Complaints abound in this regard, but most folks seem to use an iPod / iPhone combination to work around some of it. Here is the power info from the base unit (iDA-X001) - it powers off when the car is turned off, and there is not a choice there.

If there is some other way I can assist you, please post back. Otherwise, thank you for using and rating FixYa!

Just wanted to check back in with you to make sure you had received the information regarding your equipment. By the way, the firmware on your iPhone is not related to the manner in which the Alpine equipment (X001 or the Bluetooth unit) functions. As indicated above, the base unit automatically powers off with the ignition, and this is not a feature that can be changed with the current Alpine equipment.

I would appreciate it much if you could take a moment to rate the solution providing you with the most helpful information. I realize that we are not able to redesign your hardware, or change its functionality. However, if we can diagnose your situation and provide you with accurate information and knowledge concerning the matter at hand, we have given you the best support possible - and hopefully saved you potentially numerous hours of research and effort in attempting to address the issue(s).

If you still need further information or help, please post back and I will gladly assist. Otherwise, thank you for using and rating FixYa!

I have Tevion 43744 car stereo. No sound from radio and bluetooth doesn't connect. Are these issues related? What's the solution?

Could be some bad connections with the speakers; are you check this harnesses and wires?

Additionally, about the Bluetooth, accorrding with the Tevion 43744 User Guide... first will need PAIRING paorcedure. Press and hold BND/ID3/TEL button until the word "PAIRING" blinks on the display waiting for the bluetooth device to connect.

At this blinking time, please run the bluetooth search and connect function in your mobile phone. The car radio model no "BT Car Stereo" will be shown on the mobile phone . Select this car radio and connect. When you are asked for a connection password, please input "0000" in your mobile phone to finish the pairing, there is "PAIR OK" to show on the LCD. Then the bluetooth icon will be shown on the car radio LCD indicating that the bluetooth function is ready to use.

Hope this helps.

I have bought a JVC-R322 CD Receiver for my daughters Renault Clio and it connected to the existing cabling with no problems. However everytime I turn off the ignition and turn it back on again, the unit...

The vehicle has a constant power source that needs to be connected to the radio. If a fuse has disconected the circuit then you will lose your "memory" for your radio. Look in the owners manual for the fuse box locations. Use a light to find the fuse that has disconnected the circuit.

I have an I phone 4 and a nissan pathfinder with bluetooth radio they connect to each other and the phone works fine but how do i listen to my music from the phone through the radio?

You can purchase a Jupiter Jack. This item plugs into any 3.5mm jack, like the one on your iPhone, and will allow the music on your phone to play through your radios speakers. I own one and love it. Here is the website. Let me know if this helps.

Cannot connect the blueant to my iphone 4

The car stereo is the device (like a headset) the phone initiates the signal..
Set the iphone to receive bluetooth, and then turn on the blueant.
I am not sure if there is a special pair code, but try 0000
Your iphone will let you know one the connection is made.

Certain Bluetooth's arent compatible with certain phones , if it does not link with your phone then you have to find something compatible, or try the Apple store and see whats compatible as a headset.

Good luck.

My son had an Alpine IDA-X001 and a Sirius Connect Vehicle Tuner installed in his 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix yesterday. The Sirius is not activated at this time. He is experiancing problems with his car...

I believed so that something is draining power in your circuit. I suggest that you must activate the SIrius now and check together with the Alpine if it help fix the problem. It is maybe it turns out to be that the Sirius resist the flow of power when it is not activated.
