You getting no support because the PS3 video resolution is too high for the monitor to display, you need to lower your PS3 VIDEO resolution.

How do I connect my PS3 to my sanyo dp50747 in hdmi? I have everything hooked up correctly, but its not coming up on the TV. What do I do?????

If you see a no signal message, then it means that the signal output format of the PS3 does not match . It happens if you have previous used it on another tv and now connected it to a different tv. To resolve this, turn off the PS3 . Press and hold the power button on the PS3 till you hear three BEEPS. The PS3 should automatically detect the tv's resolution and the initial setup screen should appear. After that you should just follow on-screen instructions to set it up.

My DVI has no signal but my VGA does! what do i do? Please help me!!!

Your HP2009M monitor supports (3) methods of accepting signals from a computer. They are: 1) VGA, 2) DVI and, 3) HDMI.

You would connect the computer to the monitor using one connection only. Generally the VGA is the least desirable as it is an analog signal. The DVI and HDMI method provide digital paths into the monitor and often perform better. Your computer may only offer 1 or 2 connection choices, so you'll have to choose a cable type that is supported by both the computer and the monitor. The HDMI choice will pass audio signals to the the speakers in the monitor without needing to run a second cable between the stereo audio jack of the computer and the audio input jack of the monitor (located next to the HDMI jack) or to a set of external speakers (unless of course you prefer the external speakers).

The message you're seeing is normal. Once the monitor is connected to your computer, there will only be one active selection; VGA, DVI or HDMI. Since you're using the analog VGA jacks and cable, it is expected that you'll see a message that there is no signal present on the DVI (and HDMI) inputs when attempting to view signals on other inputs.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply, thank you.

I have a Playstation 3/blu ray player and I don't know how to get hi def video on a samsung hln467w

Your TV only has a DVI input, not an HDMI which PS3 has as an output. You can buy a HDMI to DVI adapter and connect the HDMI out of the PS3 to the DVI input of the TV. To get the true HighDef video you need a HDMI input on the TV to enjoy the full capacity of the Blu ray capabilities of the PS3. DVI came out before the HDMI standard and your picture will look good but not like HDMI. I have the same problem with my samsung 65 inch. I Bought the wrong technology. I hope this helps and good luck!

Can i connect a dvid cable from the monitor to my flat screen tv hdmi to watch videos from my computer? Thank you Martin

the Flat Screen TV if has, a HDMI input, also has VGA Input.

You must choose :HDMI or VGA, if HDMI The VGA board must Have HDMI Connector, and you connect a HDMI cable to the TV.

The HDMI is a digital signal input/output, VGA is Analog Signal. You must have Signal Converter if you Use the 2 signals

Acer H213H No sound

Dude, the hdmi is just for the video signal, you'll have to use a separate audio cable to get sound from the integrated speakers.

I want to hook up external speakers to my Acer H213H for when my PS3 is hooked up to it.

What method are you using to connect to the monitor?

If you are using the HDMI -> DVI adapter it does not support sound. HDMI does, but DVI does not.

If that's the way you are set up then all you need to do is use the HDMI -> DVI adapter for your video and use the regular RCA connections for audio.

You can set the video and audio settings in the PS3 with the "Display Settings" and "Sounds Settings"

That way you just use the red and white RCA ends to connect to a speaker system, the yellow won't be in use at all.

Hdmi to dvi

This message may occur if the signal from the video adapter exceeds the scan range of the monitor (monitor not HD enabled).

The video adapter setting on PS3 for updating the screen (the refresh rate) is incompatible with the monitor.
