Re: Fridge getting warm, defost not properly working...
Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if
there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not
defrosting as it should.
bad defrost timer
bad defrost heater (in freezer)
bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice
melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if
is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above

Its defrost problem.--------- When you open the freezer door, then ice starts getting defrosted, because outside temperature is warm and due to that inside ice gets bit melted.---------
The working procedure of
this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer
section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts
functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and
the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section
and the fridge section gets cold. The air from freezer to refrigerator passes
from the section, in that section the damper is located. ----------- The damper
is operated by a motor. Its a complete damper assembly with motor included in
it.--The damper has door.Which closes and open with the help of motor. In your
case the damper door is blocked by ice, because your refrigerator is not defrosting. But when you open the freezer door, the inside ice gets bit warm and it starts melting and this lets the fridge section get cool.-------------------
In this case you will have to manually defrost the ice and inspect, if the problem solves. For manual defrost procedure, click the link below:--------

lg ice beam refrigerator which has door cooling also is not cooling properly. the freezer is working there was ice accumulated in the rear corner of the freezer i defrosted but still the fridge is not cooling and there is a pool of water at the bottom most of the time. sometimes i see the fan inside the fridge is not working
Defrost your fridge with a blowdryer in the freezer after you remove the freezer back panel. Get the ice out of your exhaust pipe going to fridge. Your evaporator fan should be running, either your defrost heater is bad or your defrost thermostat is bad. I ussually replace both. Good luck rate me if I am correct.
On these units there is a defrost heater which comes on after about 12/14 hours running time depending on usage. It would cut in for about 15 mins just to get rid of ice accumulated around the Evaporator. This heater or the timer has failed and ice has got between the duct. supplying cold air to the fridge unit. The best thing to do is to defrost unit for 24 hours and then try it and see if you can feel cold air coming up into the fridge. The repair for this is not that successful and you would be better off defrosting unit like a normal fridge/freezer.
try a new defrost timer. or new kit defros timer defrost terminator and heater. tfound the timer rotate, open the freezer. if you hear a noise like ICE BREAKING. your onli problem is the timer. really important after repair your fridge. allow at least 24 hr for defost the whole evap.
