I just recieved a Kodak EasyShare C183 digital camera and when i playback a video i have no sound. Is there a volume? I have a microphone, but no sound comes out when i play the video.??.??

You don't. The camera captures audio but does not play it back. To hear the audio, either connect the camera to a TV or copy the video to a computer and play it there.

I found this information on Amazon regarding the camera and it makes sense but I haven't tried it. Since the camera has a microphone it can record sound but there is no speaker so you can't hear anything during playback on the camera. You have to upload your videos to a computer (with speakers) to actually hear the recorded sounds.

You cannot adjust the sound volume on the camera but it does record the sound during videos. During playback on the camera itself you can unfortunately not hear the sound associated with your videos. You are required to download your videos to your computer to hear the sound. Wish the instruction pamphlet told us that.

You might be blocking the microphone when recording.
Unfortunantly there is no volume adjustment button on the model.
