Hi-

Try this

1 - unplug the door wiring harness from the chasis harness (which should eliminate the power to the door and the danger of shock)
2 - found the black mesh sheath ( 6 - 8") and removed it
3 - found 3 broken wires (out of the 6 total wires)
4 - spliced in approximately 2" of small sections of wire into each of the 3 broken wires
5 - used black electrical tape to tape the 6 wires together creating a harness/bundle
6 - then used a 7" cable tie to hold this new wiring harness to the chassis of the fridge
7 - There is now a lot more play in the wiring harness, where the original install, had these wires all bound up in the door and each open/close over the past 35 months, caused these wires to break.

or check this site just click HERE

hope this help, thanks for using fixya

Hi,

It is the water inlet valve. The water line from your source (out of the wall) goes to this valve. If it is not operating, you will get no water supply through that line into your dispenser or your ice-maker unit. No water in means no water and no ice out.

Well ok you might have a bad motor to turn the blades to make the ice fall out or it could be frozen which would keep the ice from coming out, as for the water check if the water froze inside the line or maybe it is clogged

SOURCE: Kitchenaid refrigerator water dispenser not working

you may need to replace the water inlet valve. it is a dual valve, one side for water and one side for ice. part #2304833. see the attached breakdown #10. perhaps this will help.

Ice maker isn't working. Water is not filling the tray but the water dispenser in the door works fine.

could be frozen water fill tube to Icemaker. or solenoid water valve is not opening when ice maker calls for ice. there are 2 separate solenoid valves : one for dispenser another one for ice maker.

GE profile refrigerator ice maker not working

Ice dispenser doesn't work
  1. Dispenser control board
If the ice dispenser is not functioning at all the most likely cause is going to be the dispenser control board. The dispenser control board governs the major portion of the systematic functions of the dispenser and is less likely to be the issue if only certain components are malfunctioning. If the dispenser control board is at fault, it will need to be replaced.
  1. Water inlet valve & low water pressure from house supply
If the ice dispenser on your refrigerator is not working properly, one of the first things to consider as an issue is the water pressure to your appliance. The ice dispenser cannot properly function with a psi less than 20. If psi is appropriate, proceed to replace the water inlet valve to correct the issue. You may also be dealing with low household water pressure. This low flow can be examined by using a water pressure test gauge. Once the household water pressure is resolved, you can double check your refrigerator connection to ensure it is now flowing properly and that the ice dispenser is functioning.
  1. Water tube in door is frozen
If the ice dispenser is not working on your refrigerator, the issue could be a frozen water supply tube located in the door. Although this may be a tricky problem to locate, the first thing to do is find a connection point in the tube. After this has been found, attempt to blow air through the tube. If the air flows freely through the tube, it is not frozen and this is not the issue. If it does not, the tube is frozen and needs to be removed to thaw out. As it thaws, attempt to ascertain why it froze and correct the positioning of the tubing to prevent the issue from occurring again in the future.
  1. Dispenser switch
If the refrigerator ice dispenser is not working properly you could be dealing with a defective dispenser switch. Activated by the dispenser actuator, the switches are responsible for numerous actions including ice cube disbursement, type of ice, and water controls. The switch can be tested using an ohm meter and should be replaced if it does not reveal continuity.
  1. Door switch
If the refrigerator ice dispenser is not working, the functionality of the door switch can be inspected. This switch is responsible for turning on the light in the freezer and simultaneously turning off the ice dispenser when the freezer door is opened. If this switch malfunctions, it will show no continuity on the ohm meter and will require replacement.

If your model is the PSS25MGMWW and the water dispenser is not workingthe problem is most likely the=> WR57X10026 Water Inlet Valve Most times the ice dispenser and water to the ice maker will continue to work properly while the half of the water control valve will fail and stop water to the dispenser or ice maker. GE GSH25JFRF BB ice maker doesn't dispense. Water dispenses and ice maker makes ice but won't come out.

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

Water dispenser is not working

Does it make ice? If it makes Ice, then you have water to unit. If No Ice and No Water, check water supply. Otherwise, you could have a bad water valve. Remove valve and the line coming off of valve to water reservoir try to dispense water and if valve is good you should have water coming from valve. (have a bucket or bowl handy to catch water).

Sounds like the water solinoid valves are wired wrong. One activates The water dispenser. The other the ice maker. That, why every so often the water shoots out on the floor. The ice maker is telling the valve to open.
