Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

RDR-VX525 Hi, I fixed the problem on my end and wanted to pass it on to you... I contacted Sony.com The gentleman told me if the dvd recorder is stuck on DVD1 hold the enter button and 1 button down at the same time for 5 seconds and then release at the same time and it should reset your dvd recorder and power on... but make sure the dvd recorder is in the off mode when trying the procedure. Then just leave it on DVD1 when you program everything again! Everything should work fine after that, Please let me know if this helps you also! Medina esupport.sony.com/ 1 800 222 7669

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Recorded a movie on the DVR, played it & recorded it onto a Sony DVD-R with the Sony RDR-VX525, I believe it finalized & did everything it should. However, it won't play. It says disk error. I went...

what happened was that you probably chose a disc speed on the DVD that was too fast or slow for the dvd players that you are putting it in to. Try re recording it but when under the DVD section, on your remote, choose REC Mode till it says SP. That one should work on just about any dvd player. I had the same problem with mine. Here is a step by step instruction on how to dub from VHS to DVD correctly. If you follow all the steps, you should be fine :) http://angrytechblog.com/2011/02/how-to-one-touch-dub-vhs-to-dvd-on-the-sony-rdr-vx525/

Remote RMT-D240A not working with RDR-VX525 DVD Player that it came with. Only get DVD Screen saying DVD 3, will not even turn ON/OFF.

You may have to reset the remote to the current command code. Here is the link for how to do that. http://community.sony.com/t5/Remote-Controls/RDR-VX525-Changed-to-DVD3-on-command-control-and-remote-won-t/td-p/158777

Can't play Burned DVD's

This is because when you burn a DVD and want to use it on another unit you have to finalize it. Especially from another device such as your computer. You should have the option on your computer to finalize or make disc compatible.
