Hi!
Are you asking if how to format a flashdrive on a dos command prompt?

Here's how?
1. Connect your flash drive to any slot in usb of your computer. Wait until the system reads it. System will assign drive designation for the flash drive. Most common designation is drive (F:)
2. If you are using a windows operating system, click on START, select RUN
2. Type on the box.... " cmd "
3. Dos command prompt window will appear (Example: c:\Documents and Settings>)
4. Type on the prompt next to the symbol " > " the word.... " Format F: "
5. It will ask you to verify what drive.. just key in " D "
6. Once completed... close the cmd window.

Hope it helps. Post back if you still have questions.

Transcend jet flash showing write protected message

hey, i was having the same problem with the same flash drive... there are two ways how you can fix it..
1. try formatting using cmd
Go to start-->run and then type cmd and press enter
now the command window will open
in that type format X: (x being your drive)
This should work fine if not try the second method
2. Go to this website and download the recovery tool software which is exclusively for transcend flash drives.. click the link below to so to that site..
http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/index.asp?axn=SRH2&ModNo=107&ItemID=TS16GJFV30&Controller=#5
Download the recovery tool software under the topic software and install it in your system.
Now connect the flash drive in your pc and run the recovery tool application.. This will format your flash drive
