Question about Samsung SGH-d807 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Phone is having trouble sliding.

I dropped my phone yesterday when it was slid up (so I could see the numbers) and I guess it landed on one of the corners because now it doesn't slide as easily, and it doesn't slide completely up so it's harder to reach the 1,2, and 3 keys. I think it came off the track is there any way for me to fix this without brining it into a store?

I didn't drop it around sand so I don't think thats it. I actually think the track is somehow bent or something. When it's closed the bottom left hand corner has a gap. I'm not sure how to explain it but the half of the phone that holds the battery doesn't touch the part of the phone that has the screen and it kind of makes a sea-saw movement? If that makes sense.

Sliding problem

Sounds like you joggled something loose internally to me. Phones cant take much abuse before things start happening. See if you can pop a few covers off, pull the battery out and see if there is anything jammed in there. Plan B would be getting a new one. But I would try forcing it to slide in that direction before getting a new one. Goodluck! Hope this helps!

I dropped my brand new sidekick slide i just got in milk

Give it at least 2 FULL days to dry. Same happened to me (was a beer not milk, lol), but if you just LEAVE it alone for a couple days, you just might get your phone back. Good Luck bud.

D900i can you keep clock on screen when phone closed?

I'm afraid you can't. You can go to settings then light settings to adjust the amount of time you can see the screen when the phone is slid up but not when it's slid down. I guess it's a battery saving precaution... Louise
