If the problem is the belt, why won't the radio or tape player work?

Perhaps the disk tray is not in correct position and leave some micro-switch unpressed.

1990 lexus ls400 cassette player will not read or play my cassetes. i put in my cassettes but my front tape flap doesn't close and it automatically switches back to the radio.

The player has to seize the cassette as it is inserted and seat it in the correct position to be played. Sometimes the manual eject linkage becomes defective or misadjusted, preventing the cassette from seating correctly. The eject button may depress fully without causing ejection or it may depress but not cause ejection.

Usually a dirty tape head. I recommend adding a 3.5 jack to your radio through an fm modulator.

Removal of installed FXCD-500 from car?

Hi there,

the keys go either side of the CD plater, you should see little slots, either in the trim ring or behind it, just slide them down the side.

you then have to push the keys outwards i.e 1 towards the driving wheel and the other towards the glove box.

at the same time pull stright out!

Hope this helps

Trying hitting the reset button which should be either on the changer next to the cartridge eject or on the controller display. It will be a pin hole to press.

Adio player sanyo fxcd-500

All these models have an overheat problem which after about an hour of use will not eject the cd until you let it cool down. I bought 2 of these and would not reccommend the purchase of this model. The removable head gets very hot even with volume down. Sometimes taking the cover on and off a few times will reset the error and let the cd eject.
