Try licking the golden part of your battery, then charge it again.
If it still not working, then you have to change the battery.

I have a scootamart large scooter, not sure if 6 or 8 mph.batteries have been checked and are perfect but can only travel 5 or 6 miles on a full charge.what can be wrong.

Hi. How many amp/hours are your batteries?
Who tested your batteries, and how did they test them.
I have had batteries tested by an auto electrical technician, who said the batteries were OK. I knew at the time that the batteries were faulty.
What he did was do a short high current test, that he would normally do on a car battery.
To test batteries in a scooter you have to do a constant current test on fully charged batteries, and monitor the battery voltage. When the battery voltage drops to 10.5 volts across the 12 volt battery, that is considered a flat battery. Take the time elapsed for the test, and you can roughly work out the amp/hour rating of your batteries.
The amp/hour rating of a battery is worked out on a 10 or 20 discharge. A 40 amp/hour battery can supply 2 amps/ hour for 20 hours.
If you take 20 amps per hour, you will not get 2 hours of use. You will probably only get 1.5 to 1.75 hours of use. The more current ( amps ) you take out of a battery, the less amp/hours it will supply.
The best way to test your batteries is a constant current test, but they take a few hours, or try new batteries.

Also how long do you charge your batteries for. Most chargers need to be on at least over night to fully charge your batteries.
Some chargers have a green LED that comes on when the batteries are nearly full. This green LED is a guide only, and most batteries still need a few more hours to do a full charge.
Good luck. Neil.

I have an Olympus e510 that I bought new 2 years ago. The other day I got it out to use it and it will not turn on. I purchased a new battery, charged it, and it still will not work. When I removed the...

Hi, as per your information your camera 2 years old but not used much. You buy a new battery 1st time when you charged you see the gree light. But camera not working. When you try to charge the battery again you seen the red light. Its mean your charger have a problem. So what you do now? Ok try these.
Remove the power connection of the charger. then fixed the battery there slowly & properly. After that plug on the charger again. If the same thing happens then unplug the charger & plug in in different point. Then see what showing. If again red light then wait 1 hours and waiting for green signal. If there is no green signal showing then visit a service center with your charger. Tell them your problem. They will fixed the charger for you. Don't worry your camera is ok.
Your new battery or your charger one of then damaged. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

My Ipod 3rd gen. wont work other than when its pluged into the pc

Your battery is most likely dead to the point where it can no longer hold a charge, which is the reason that when you unplug it from the computer, it dies instanly. Batteries are pretty cheap going up to about as high as $25 and if you get it done at a ipod place, installation should not be that much.

Yellow / green light will not go off when charging

Its likely the batteries will take at least several hours to fully charge, if not more. NiCad batteries are slow charging and usually need 4-6 hours for a full charge. Keep them on longer or even overnight but make sure you remove them in the morning. You will probably find the light turns green after 4-6 hours of charging. If lights stay yellow and green after 12 hours of charging, it may indicate a fault in the battery itself where it will not accept a charge.

When is the battery charged?

these small dvd player are built with less options

normally with cheap batteries, so usually it will turn green when fully charge or even turn off. hard to say. but since it cheap batteries, it probably wont do anything at all.

i would charge it for 10-14 hours then unplug the device.
the battery will get hot, and then the device will no longer work after over charging the player.

so charge for 10-14 hour only UNPLUG the player
play til it dies then start process all over again.

if you find that the battery is dying faster and faster then you have a cheap battery

theres no easy fix for this, some battery cannot be interchanged
when buying something make sure you can exchange the battery like a laptop. this way if the battery is overly charge it doesnt leak into the player.

or into the device

Battery back needs to be connected to the DVD player when charging. connect the batter pack to player. Run the DC/out from the battery pack to the DC/in in the player. plug the charger into the wall.

if that does not work, you have a bad battery
