When I try to open Fisher Price iXL program after installation, it attempts to download updates, however I continue to get an "Internet Connection Lost" error. I also added an exception to Windows Firewall. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium edition. I uninstalled and reinstalled program, but still get the same error.
I'm also having the same problem!!! So frustrating. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Problem is if you own a game it forces the update no matter what settings you've changed!!!
I wonder if they can't support all the downloading on Christmas. I hope so b/c returning if this continues.I'm also having the same problem!!! So frustrating. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Problem is if you own a game it forces the update no matter what settings you've changed!!!

go to control panel , programs and features and look for fisher price ixl
look at who is the company or author on the same line example
free editor has blue labs LLC or google chrome has google inc
then look at other lines with that same company or author
normally the word fisher will be in that line
high light each line one at a time then uninstal each one
when finished you may have to restart the computer to ensure that all remanents are removed
I was having same problem, trying to install initial software from CD, I kept getting error messages that said to contact Fisher-Price for support. I searched for a while and finally found the mfg. website (Mattel) and download the most up-to-date version from the website... here's the link: http://service.mattel.com/us/technicalproductdetail.aspx?prodno=R9703&siteid=27&catid=520
Once downloaded it installed on my computer without error and all is well...
Having the same problem, believe it might be due to a significant amount of people trying do the update. Either way I think it is terrible that fisher price could not have fixed this. They should re-imburse people who have been majorly inconvenienced. As for now I think you just have to wait.
Here is what I did:
Mine requested for the H drive instead of P.
I downloaded Daemon Tools Lite and installed it. I ran it the mount and drive manager. I right clicked on the bottom box. Clicked "add SCSi virtual device" I had to do this twice until it created a device called H. I tried the installation again, and the error occured and said "My documents" couldn't be found. I was able to restore the default location of my documents using some window that popped up. I might have clicked on My Documents or something, I'm not sure. Then it installed fine.
