All functions operate normally except the machine will not agitate.

The agitator is driven by a couple of different methods. The first is the agitator is splined and slips onto the matching splines of the agitator shaft from the transmission. The second is the use of a bell coupling which is splined to the agitator shaft as well and the agitator snaps onto the coupling. If the agitator does not agitate, first remove the agitator and watch the agitator shaft to see if it is working properly. This wil require a small load setting of water and the machine set to run. If the agitator shaft is working properly, it is either the splines on the agitator or the bell coupling that is defective. If the agitator shaft does not work properly, the problem is in the transmission.

You can't override the door lock It's a safety feature. You can bypass it by connecting the wires that go to the switch but please don't! It means the door can be opened while the drum is still spinring and children can be severely injured. You may also open the door accidentally with water in the tub. If you think there is a fault with the door lock, first make sure it's not just a blocked air tube, but replace it rather than try to override it.

The agitator dogs (part # 80040) that grip and turn the top agitator to push the clothes into the bottom agitator during the wash cycle are worn and must be replaced. It costs about $5 and replacing it is an easy task to do.

Disconnect the power to the washer. Open the lid and remove the agitator cap by prying it with a flat-bladed screwdriver off the agitator top. Remove the 7/16 inch stud and seal holding the agitator to the shaft using a socket wrench with extension.

Lift the agitator off the shaft and pull the top agitator off the bottom agitator. Remove the cam that holds the agitator dogs from the top agitator.

Lay the cam upside down and install the agitator dogs on the slots. Hold the cam with the newly installed agitator dogs on one hand and the top agitator upside down on the other. Slide the cam up into the top agitator and turn the assembly in the upright position.

Align the cam and bottom agitator tabs and cut-outs and place the top agitator with the cam over the bottom agitator. Place the agitator assembly on the shaft and rotate it until the grooves match. Push the agitator down and reinstall the stud and seal. Do not over tighten the stud or the agitator will not spin properly.

Those are the agitator dog ears. They have teeth that grip and turn the top agitator during the wash cycle. It must be replaced when damaged or worn.

1. Unplug the washer.
2. Remove the fabric softener dispenser by pulling it off the agitator top.
3. Look for the prying location on the agitator cap and insert a flat blade screwdriver between the agitator cap and the agitator then pry the cap off.
4. Use a socket wrench, usually 7/16", with extension to remove the stud and seal holding the agitator to the shaft.
5. Pull the top agitator from the bottom agitator.
6. Pull the cam that holds the agitator dog ears from the top agitator.
   
7. Lay the cam on its top and install the agitator dog ears on their slots.
8. Hold the cam on one hand and the top agitator on the other.
9. Slide the cam up into the top agitator and turn it over so that the agitator dog ears do not fall off.
10. Reinstall the top agitator into the bottom agitator.
11. Reinstall the agitator assembly into the shaft.

The small plastic pieces that are located under the agitator center cap that grip the agitator and turn it during the wash cycle are worn out. They are called agitator dog ears or clutch dogs. They must be replaced.

1. Unplug the washer.
2. Remove the fabric softener dispenser, if there's any, by pulling it off the agitator top.
   
3. If no dispenser is installed, insert a flat screwdriver between the agitator and agitator cap. Pry the cap off the agitator then remove the upper part of the agitator.
   
4. Remove the barrier cap by pulling it up.
   
5. Use a socket wrench with extension or nut driver to remove the stud and seal holding the agitator to the shaft.
   
6. Remove the agitator mover by pulling it off the agitator.
   
7. Turn the agitator mover over on your palm. The cam and agitator dogs will come out on your palm. Pay attention to how the agitator dogs are installed. Remove the worn agitator dogs and install the new ones.
   
8. If the agitator dogs are not worn, check the agitator shaft. Remove the round rubber seal off the top of the agitator and remove the agitator by lifting it straight up. Call up service if the shaft is worn.
   
9. Reinstall the agitator. Rotate it until the grooves on the agitator matches the grooves on the shaft then push the agitator down.
10. Place the round rubber seal in the groove on the top of the agitator.
    
11. Turn the agitator mover over and carefully insert the cam and agitator dogs up into the agitator mover until it stops.
    
12. Carefully turn the agitator mover over in upright position.
    
13. Place the agitator mover with the cam and dogs over the agitator, lining up the tabs. The cam has a cut-out and tabs across from each other. The agitator has tabs across from each other. All of these must line up in order for the cam to slide down on the agitator.
    
14. Push the cam down until the tabs snap together.
    
15. Put the upper part of the agitator back.
16. Using a socket wrench with extension or nut driver, insert the stud and seal through the agitator into the shaft and tighten it.
17. Push the barrier cap and seal down into the agitator mover all the way. Make sure the round gasket is in the groove in the barrier cap. The barrier cap must be pushed down past the holes on the mover to allow the liquid from the dispenser to flow.
18. Press down on the fabric softener dispenser or cap until it is all the way down on the agitator.
    

remove the fabric softner assemble.if ther is a plastic cover remove it remove 1/2 bolt and reach down under agitator up. put agitator on the floor.put a foot on both side's of the bottom of the agitator.place a hand on both side's of top part of agitator and pull up.turn top agitator upside down and the dog's should come out along with the holder.replace the dog's.to put holder and dog's back in top agitatoruse your 1/2 socket and exstention.place the 1/2 bolt in socket and place holder and dog's on bolt.turn top agitator upside down and feed holder and dog's up in top agitator.holding socket and exstention in top agitator,rotate top agitator down holding dog's and holder in with socket and exstention.place top agitator over bottom agitator and line up the two aliment ear's on bottom agitator and use exstention to push top agitator down on bottom agitator.place agitator back on transmition shaft and replace 1/2 bolt.replace plastic cover and fabric softner assembly.

you cleaned out the filter in the pump assambly??? and did you also check inside the throat of the impellar for possible obstruction?its possible that the pump is not pumping(although its on) and not removing water would result in no spin
