Region Codes don't work that way. There is no "code" to unlock a DVD
Player. The codes are burned onto the DVD. The DVD Player has an
electronic circuit that only accepts DVD's from a certain region.
If you want to play DVD's that are from different countries, having
different region codes on them, then you need to get a region free DVD
player. Do a search on Google for "region free DVD player" and you
should have quite a few choices come up. I ran into this problem a
couple of years ago when I bought some DVD's from England. I had to buy
a region free DVD player to watch them. There was no way to make my
region #1 (US) DVD player work for viewing them.
The only solution is to purchase a region free player.

i have 2 different dvd players so i don't see how the solution could be the same for both and there was no information on menu/screen i should be in when i try to enter codes to change my dvd player from region 1 to region free so i can play dvd's from UK
i am in the US - region 1 and dvd's are from UK - region 2. i need codes or "hacks" to make my dvd players - RCA BD20TF10 (TV/DVD Combo) and Sylvania DVC850C (DVD/VCR Combo) region free so i can play dvd's from UK. you can make a dvd player "region free" but you need to have the correct codes to reprogram and that's what i'm looking for
