If you know the proper geographic coordinates of your destination, You can easily navigate around your destination using the longitude and latitude coordinates or other coordinate formats.

  1. Touch WHERE TO on the screen,
  2. Touch COORDINATES from the list,
  3. Touch FORMAT to change type of coordinates. Because different maps and charts use different position formats, the nuvi allows you to select the correct coordinate format for the type of map you are using,
  4. Enter the coordinates and touch DONE.
That is how you find a position using the coordinates, but you have to be very familiar with coordinates to be able to use it.
Complements of the season to you over there.

SOURCE: Converting GPS coordinated to google earth coordinates

GoogleEarth: save the waypoints in a KML file (NOT KMZ) to your computer, naming it appropriately.
Go to http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/ and convert the KML file to a GPX file, using their converter. They will present you with a file to download. Download it and send those waypoints to your unit and you'll be set to go.

SOURCE: gps coordinates

If you are asking to put latitude and longitude information into the C330, no, the unit is not designed to accept that type of information.

SOURCE: GPS Coordinate Conversion

Just take the last 2 pairs of numbers and divide them by 6.
Example if it is 37 38 it would then be 623.

How do I program my lowrance to locate reefs if I have the lat log reference?

You can go to your GPS page and zoom out and then using your cursor pad and move your cursor so it is in the general area of your coordinates. Start zooming in andifferent as you do the the lat, long readings on your screen will become more precise. Continue to adjust your cursor position so the coordinates match up with known position you have. Continue until the cursor position on screen and your known coordinates match.
Push "ENTER" twice. Your way point will be saved at the current position of the cursor.
OR
Push your cursor pad to bring up your crosshairs on the GPS screen. Save that waypoint, then go in and edit the coordinates to match your location data and save it. The waypoint you created will move to the new coordinates.

How do i insert a coordinate to find a spesific fishing spot

Hello,

The Garmin nuvi's were designed as automotive navigators and not really designed to be used as marine or outdoor GPS units with the exception of the nuvi 550 which is an all around GPS.
The Garmin handhelds are recommended for marine and off road recreational use but it is possible to navigate if you know the coordinates of your fishing spot.
To enter coordinates: Touch Where to? > Coordinates and touch a box to enter a coordinate.
You can also refer to the manual for more information. nüvi® 215

How do i enter gps coordinates into my garmin etrex hc

Hi Jdriscoll38,

Since you probably have been using this device, you know it will automatically receive and lock in on the coordinates from at least three satellites if you move outside to a large cleared area, and power up. I could list all the steps to manually set all the coordinates, and that would take a couple of pages. Download the entire 56-page manual at this site, and refer to the pages below:

http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/eTrex_OwnersManual.pdf

Go to the top of page 20 to change the Position Coordinates.

Right below those instructions, you'll see the info for changing the Elevation.

In case you don't have this manual, after download this, you should have all the instructions you need for all operations.

Let me know if I can help further. Thanks.

Regards, Bill

How do i insert a negative (-) deg co-ordinate into my nuvi 200

Positive Lat Lon coordinates are for the eastern and northern hemispheres respectively. If you have a negative coordinate, they indicate a location in the western or southern hemisphere.

To enter a Latitude coordinate of, for example, -31 degrees, you would enter 31 degrees, but specify S (for South) rather than N (for North)

Negative Lon coordinates would use W (for West) instead of E (for East)
