Question about IBM ThinkPad T23 Notebook
I just bought this IBM on Ebay. I can't get the DVD rom to boot properly.
I put in a disk, it lights up give a quick screen shot of Win 98 (boot up diskette used) and then goes back to the blank screen.
I have an extra hardrive that I want to put in it. I am installling XP on it with a Dell CPX that I have and will put the working hard drive in it to see if it works.
I downloaded all the driver downloads fromt he IBM site and will load them itno the C directory.
Is the DVD rom bad or is it a software problem?
First you can't load XP onto a hard drive using a Dell and expect it to work in the IBM. They are two totally different system configurations. If the IBM won't boot or read from the CD (after choosing CD/DVD drive from the boot menu) then the drive is bad and will need to be replaced.
