The only way to open it if you can not remember the password is to restore the phone to factory default settings via iTunes.

SOURCE: I forgot my passcode to unlock my iphone

It depends on the severity and the settings you have given the iPhone and whether you have the computer that you synced your iPhone with... Here's the full explanation. I would recommend reading the second paragraph first, but the solution if you really forgot your password is in the first paragraph.
==If you have the computer you synced your iPhone with==
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present. Refer to "Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software."

"If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "iPhone is disabled" and to try again later. If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It  can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode."
The full article can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212

==If you don't have the computer you synced your iPhone with==
If you don't have the original computer the iPhone synced with, the only solution is to force your iPod Touch into recovery mode and then restore it. You will lost all the data on the iPod Touch, but after this method is done, everything will work. You can find the steps to solving this problem here:

SOURCE: I had a iphone 3gs

If your iPhone 4 is brand new, you might wanna restore it to remove that passcode. This is what you need to do:This is how you can recover your device:

  1. Plug/connect your device to a computer (PC or Mac)
  2. Turn it OFF
  3. Press and hold the POWER and HOME buttons together for EXACTLY 10seconds
  4. Release the POWER button but keep holding the HOME button until the computer beeps indicating that a USB device is recognized.
  5. Open iTunes and restore your device.

After the restore is complete, please do not choose restore from backup, rather, choose set up as new device.

You can just sync all info after that.

If you don't get it at first, try holding the buttons for lesser time or see the other procedures and some screenshots on my tip (link below):

How to retrieve passcode to iphone 3gs

You can if it is a simple password- only four numeric digits. If the complex pass code was enabled in your settings then you will have to restore it through iTunes and lose all of your saved info. If you aren't worried about that just turn the phone off, hold the home button down while you plug it into your computer and keep holding the home button down until iTunes recognizes your phone in recovery mode. Then follow the prompts on your screen until it is restored. If you are trying to save the info on your phone just go to iPasswordhelp com and follow the instructions. I'll link the video below.

How to open my iphone if i forgot the passcode.?

If you can't remember your passcode, you'll need to erase your device using iTunes, Find My iPhone, or recovery mode. Then use a backup to put your data and settings back on your device. You can try plugging it into iTunes to see if it reboots itself

UNLOCK MY PASSCOD ,I HAVE A IPHONE

The passcode is your personal security number, no one else knows that. But if you forgot what it is, chances are, your device will be disabled. However, if yoou want to recover it from being disabled, you need to put it to DFU mode first to bypass the passcode-lock and then continue on the restore.
WARNING: Restoring your device will remove ALL data in it.
To read my instruction on putting your device to DFU mode, click the link below:
