I can't eject my Philips GoGear SA1928/37 flash audio player. I have a 15" MacBook Pro. My computer is able to recognize the drive, read it and write it, but isn't able to eject it. What can I do? Is there any driver or software that might help?

Hi glenn196633,

For more information on Philips Songbird, like FAQ's, manuals, and DIY videos, visit:

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Philips Songbird is compatible with Macs:

It also seems the GoGear Vibe is not Mac compatible.

Visit the Philips Support Site at www.philips.com/support (enter your model number for product specific information).

Hope this helps - if so, let me know by rating this solution! Thanks!

I do not have the software needed to operate the Phillips Gogear 4gb. Where do I get the software for a Mac?

Unfortunately, there is no software for Mac, as its not compatible with Mac. However, you can still use drag and drop method to put songs into it from your Mac.

The music has transferred over from my pc to my mp3 player but when I try to play it, I just get a message of Media error DRM not supported. What does this mean? It is a SA1983A/02

DRM is so that an MP3 cannot be copied. It is Digital Rights Management, basically so that you can only use it with systems, like your player, that make sure it isn't stolen. It is used very little these days since Apple took DRM off of iTunes files, but it is quite annoying and is just that, copy protection.

Media converter not detecting GoGear

I finally figured out my problem. The program, Bonjour, had been removed from my computer. I reinstalled it at Apple downloads and my player is working just fine again. Here's the link, hope it helps you.

Installation for philips gogear using apple macintosh

Can't. But, you can simply plug in the gogear into a mac USB port and manually drag music into the MUSIC folder. Files must go into that folder for player to recognize them.

Other than that, software only available for PC.

Gogear 8gb

The HDD1830 is not Mac compatible. The database file has probably been deleted or corrupted. The player doesn't scan the hard disk on start-up, it only read the database file. Anything it doesn't read from the database file is ignored.

You will need to restore the player with the Philips Device Manager, and re-load your tracks.

Does this work with a MAC

No compatible software, but you can try the Mac's UPnP feature. Drag songs to Music folder of player.
