What OS are you running?

I suspect that the 4th PC is not getting an IP assigned or the security does not match if running wireless.

are you connecting wireless or via ethernet?

As a start do this...

start, run, cmd enter

type ipconfig into the dos window and post back results.

Do this for the non working PC and one of the working PC's

Check if the Wireless computer is connected correctly to the Wireless Router, and if yes then try to access google.com and check if you have that Web page opened or not, if not thenn check the Wireless IP address of the Laptop and make sure it should be in the same range of the router, or else the Wireless computer will not connect to Internet.

Trying to set up D-link WBR-1310 with hughes net? internet works bypassing router, but will not work going through roughter.

The router will work properly with your internet connection if you have the right configuration. There is a configuration for cable internet connection and broadband internet connection. If you are using a broadband internet connection some of the ISP are providing a username and password before you can access the internet connection, so in your router, you will have to use the PPPoE username/password type of configuration. If you have cable internet connection, choose Dynamic IP DHCP and clone the mac address of your NIC by clicking the Clone Mac address.

Just in case if you don't know how to access the configuration page of your router follow the steps
1. plug your router to your computer via ethernet cable
2. If you are using windows XP
- click start
- click run
- type cmd
- press ok
- type ipconfig on the black screen
- look for the default gateway (this is the ip of your router)
- open internet explorer
- type http://the default gateway that you found
- press enter
- under internet, choose manual configuration
- save all settings after providing the correct configuration.

3. If you are using windows vista/7
- click pearl button
- click start search
- type cmd
- right click the black icon up at the top
- left click run as administrator
- click continue
- on the black screen type ipconfig
- check the default gateway
- open up internet explorer
- type http://the default gateway that you found

let me know if this helped you we'll see what else we can do

Not able to configure and connect to internet using router

Try 192.168.0.0 which would be the default address to access your modem. This should allow you to go into the modem and adjust changes. I know on the bottom of my router there is an administrator default password that can e used to access the mainframe of the modem. Check out these features in there. I would start first by connecting via LAN again and then try to conntect to it via a WAN but again see if you can access the modem using the 192.168.0.0.

Xplornet Sat. connection and D-Link WBR-2310

Can you get a pc to connect to the internet? If you can, what IP address does HUGHES assign? If it is in the range of 192.168.0.X then change the DEFAULT GATEWAY address of the router to something like 192.168.10.1 (out of the box it should be set to 192.168.0.1)

Two computers have same IP address...what to do?

Hi, at first you have to get into both PC's network cards settings > properties of network adapters, select Internet protocol TCP/IP and click on properties - make sure the adapter is set to get the IP address and DNS details automatically. Then get into the routers admin website in web browser (I think 192.168.0.1) while connected to router. Find the option DHCP and select it to enable. Save the settings and try to reconnect with both laptops again and it should work.

D Link model 2310

When you connected your PC directly to the modem, were you able to get the internet working automatically or did you have to run a dialup-like connection?

If it worked automatically, try this:
1. Connect a PC to a numbered port of the Dlink router (don't connect the modem to the router nor the PC)
2. Open Internet Explorer and enter http://192.168.0.1 on the address bar. This should then ask you to login. (restart the router and the PC if nothing happened then try again)
3. Enter admin for the username and blank for the password
4. Once you're on the Dlink Setup page, click on Network Settings on the left panel.
5. Change the Router IP address to 192.168.2.1 then hit Save Settings
6. Now, connect a cable from the Speedstream modem to the WAN port of the Dlink router then check if your internet is working from the wired PC.

If its still not working, turn off the modem and the router and then power the modem first (wait for the lights to be stable) then plug the router.

Hope this works for you. Goodluck!

1. Make sure that wireless settings are properly synchronized.
>> ssid/security key.
2. Check your computers wireless connection status

3. If still not working if computer is set to obtain ip automatically, try assigning static ip on wireless pc
