jph, this is a classic symptom of the high voltage board failure. What board did you replace? The high voltage board is the one on the back side of the refer, left hand side. Catriver.

My GE AC starts to beep when I only turn it on for a while

Probably a bad sensor. Remove the sensor and clean it good or replace it. Todays newer stuff relies on a sensor to tell the beard what the conditins are in the house. The board sends a small dc voltage through the sensor and measures the sensor. Changes in temperature cause the voltage to fluctuate and this tells the brain when to shut down the machine. Long story short the sensor thinks the house is cool enough. Less than 5 bucks a sensor is easy to change out. It has a quick connect, check it for corrosion, with any luck all you need to do is clean it up.

Kenwood XD 550 stereo start-up problem

this normally happens with a lot of sets! It usually happens during a Power Failure, Power Surge (Fluctuation) and if the wire of the component is taken out from the wall outlet while the system is on...To get rid of this problem all you need to do is to press the Display button on the main unit, it is located just below the main display! Voltage Selection has got nothing to do with this problem...

My xd-551 displays protection when i switch it on, how do i fix it

When the unit displays protection immediately, that indicates an amplifier failure - which is not a consumer repair.

Weight out the value of the unit vs. replacement cost vs. repair cost. You'll most likely find that replacement is the most economical route.

Amp Power LED Display blinks red and no sound

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. Does the voltage on either the B+ or remote pulse below ~11 volts when the LED flashes?

Kenwood VR-605 display fading out

There is a cold solder connection on the display device, on the display driver board, or on or in the power supply that supplys the display voltage to the driver board. The only way you can repair it is if you have some soldering experience and or some electronic troubleshooting skills. If you go in and start poking around, and you poke at the wrong thing, It will smoke on you, as solid state electronics are very unforgiving when it comes to shorting out something, even if its for a blink of an eye!!! If you really like the unit, take it into a repair shop, as it should'nt cost to much to repair. If the units 3 to 6 years old, Maybe its time to think about upgrading to a newer unit??. Good Luck
