First point: you cannot simply transfer the software from one machine to another and expect it to work. Even copying the files over - if you can do that - doesn't help, because installing the software means much more than simply putting it onto the hard drive of your machine. Go to http://www.nodevice.com/driver/NV3/get38462.html (just type this in on the address line of your Internet Explorer) and follow the instructions. Basically you have to download the software from the site onto your computer, and then install it. This sounds a bit fearsome but if you intelligently follow the instructions and choose the right item there shouldn't be any problem. make sure that if you are given a choice of Operating System (OS) you choose yours (XP, Vista, or whatever). Hope that helps.
Most digicam installers are in CDs. Check your CD Rom drive if it is working. Install programs are usually started on Autorun files. If the Install program doesn't run automatically, explore the Installation CD and run setup from the installer. Follow step by step instruction until installation is completed. If the Installation CD is not working, try to look for the digital camera company's website in it's packaging and request for technical support.
There are also step by step instructions on installing your digicam and software found in the manual that came with your digicam unit.
