I have a Vizio Ev370VL and while watching it using a after market remote Motorola DRC800 the PNP button was pushed and the parental control screen came on and then switch to input locked. Not knowing what to do next the set was powered off and now will not come back on. Now when you hit the power button on the remote or the back of the TV the orange VIZIO light will trun white and VIZIO will come on the screen and then the unit will power down and the VIZIO trun back orange.

My 37" vizio I bought in Dec 2007 did this (green screen at start-up on all inputs). At first it went away by itself after you left the unit on for 15 minutes, but then 2 days later the whole thing DIED. Luckily Costco has a 90 day return policy on TVs.

Vizio tech support suggested this (before it died that is):
Please try to reset all setting and then to see if the problem is solved. 1. Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2. choose Set up on the OSD;
3. then choose Reset All settings;
4. Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD.

Can you use a splitter somehow to make the cable be two inputs? That is all I can think of.

Hi.

If the TV does not start with the new audio board, and if it does start with the old one, then the audio board that you recently purchased is defective.

About the board : 0500-0507-0230; that is the power board (PSU). If you could see the Vizio logo, that means that TV started, and that the power board was OK without need for testing. When the power board is defective, either the TV does not give any sign of life, or the TV goes in standby mode from start and does not wake up. In that case the led stays blinking to warn you that there is an incorrect voltage from PSU.

If the TV is freezing with Vizio logo, that means that at most the faulty part is the main board.

Also, you say that there is no backlight. No backlight means that the screen is completely dark. If there is no backlight you won't be able to see the logo or any other picture.If there is no backlight, then the problem is usually the inverter.
