Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
We were washing a large pillow, and all was good until the spin cycle. Now we can't get the washer to drain or spin. Flashing error code F02, I think, when we got to it. Tried unplugging and re-plugging, tried drain and spin with no spin, nothing works. We tried starting a different cycle, and it will add a little water and agitate for a few seconds, then it does the same thing over and over. Click, click, low hum. Please help...I don't want to have to spend a huge amount of money to fix or repair!
Based upon your description, the drain pump has either failed or become clogged.
To check the pump, remove the bottom access panel (three screws along the bottom). There you will find access to the pump clean-out.(Large,white screw cap) BE READY TO CATCH LOTS OF WATER. CAREFULLY AND S_L_O_W_L_Y unscrew the pump clean-out, catching and discarding the water. When the water flow finally stops, completely remove the clean-out filter. Inspect the clean-out filter, the drain hose from the tub as well as inside the pump impeller for any additional debris

Excellent advice from Richard. I had same problem with F02 code during rinse cycle. Checked the pump filter and found it was full of gunk. Also had a scrap of material on it-shoulder pad? Bra pad? (The smell was vile). Cleaned filter and put it back in place. I also checked under the gray rubber gasket located just inside the door around the front of the drum and found a camera pouch and a gift card. Amazing! Check these periodically because people leave things in their pockets. Just ran a load and the washer worked perfectly!

Tips for a great answer:
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Error code 5d/Sd means suds have been detected. To solve this
problem you have to take the bottom front panel apart and then clean the drain
filter pump assembly completely, make sure the washer is unplugged before
working on it. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
