Macromedia projector problem

I have installed a medical continuing education program.
It has a series of questions, answers and critiques.
I often gets a message "macro media projector has encontered a problem and need to close" and the program closes.
Because of this problem I am not able to study the program.
How van overcome this problem?

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Program Compatibility Wizard
Hit next, select wherever your problem is (either the select from a list of programs, the CD drive, or the manual browse and select), then set it to emulate Windows 98 or ME or 2000. Hit next, then disable Visual Themes. Hit next, test it out, then close up. If that still doesn't work, just play with the options/colors/resolution and the version of Windows.

Right clicking on the desktop shortcut to the software, go to "Property", click on the "Compatiblity" tab and put a check in "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:, now try all the choices in the dropdown box (win95, win98/win me,etc. etc) one at a time til it works. Hers work when I selected Windows Nt 4.0 service pack 5. Hope this works

The error "macromedia projector has encountered a problem and needs to
close" can occur, if the Macromedia projector files in system is corrupt or
missing. You can resolve the issue by downloading and installing the latest
version of Macromedia softwares from the URL given below:

    1)Macromedia Flash Player Download

    http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave...Pr...
    ockwaveFlash

    2)Shockwave Player Download

I hope the above information helps you resolve the issue. Thanks for using Fixya.

Macromedia projector

HI,

Macromedia Projector is a utility from Adobe (formerly Macromedia) which
bundles up a Flash visual presentation into a stand-alone EXE file, so you
can display the images on a PC without the Flash Player installed. Your
anatomy CD-ROM probably used Macromedia Projector to display its anatomy
pictures.

Macromedia Projector is not compatible with Vista. In order to run the
program, you need to set the Compatibility to a previous version of Windows.

In Explorer, find the main EXE file on the CD-ROM which runs the anatomy
program. Right-click the EXE file and choose Properties from the context
menu. The Properties dialogue will appear. Choose the Compatibility Tab.
Check the checkbox in Compatibility Mode, for "Run this program in
compatibility mode for:" and choose and earlier version of Windows - Windows
98 would be a good one to try. Then click OK to save the changes. Now
double-click the EXE file, to launch the program.

Once you have set the Compatibility, Windows Vista should "remember" to run
the program in compatibility mode, so hopefully you only need to do this
once.

Upon starting program, a black screen appears with error message "Problem with Macromedia Projector" - goes no further

Good morning! Possibly, compatibility of the PC OS / VGA card to macromedia projector system is the problem. kindly check your computer system details and compared it to the system details of the macromedia projector. best regards.

Macromedia projector has stopped

You might try reinstalling Macromedia Projector (now Adobe Flash).

Sometimes if you use compatibility mode to run the game:
  • Click - Start, Programs, Accessories, Program Compatibility Wizard.
  • Follow the prompts to set up the compatibility mode.
  • Use Windows 98 compatibility, and disable visual themes.
Also you could change Apple Quicktime to run video in Safemode:
Quicktime Player > Edit > Quicktime Preferences > Advanced > and under Video Change from DirectX to Safe Mode (GDI)

You may need to reinstall Quicktime, but uninstall the old version first.
