My sisters A205-S5804 laptop keeps shutting down but only when it's processing files..If it's idle it sits there for hours

it may be overheating, when it processes files the proc gets hot i suggest a cooling pad of some type see if that helps, when it shuts down, is it hot? are you getting any messages or does it just shut down. try this: hit windows key +R and when the box pops up type eventvwr and check the system logs and see if it tells you why it's shutting down. if it's heat related it should say. let me know if you need any help

Firstly,

AVG has a habit of CONSTANTLY picking up these random and mostly annoying "Harmful" Viruses.

Reinstalling AVG helped me and it should help you too (Y) :).

Hope I helped

Not happy with Panda software!

Hi, welcome sorry your having troubles.

In the world of anti virus not all programs are equal.

I prefer AVG until someone hacks it. Go Here for info or download.
http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition

See if that helps.
Second Right click on internet Exploer Icon on desktop, mouse to properties & left click.
Then select privacy tap at top by left clicking it.
Mouse down to pop up blocker & left click turn on pop-up blocker ( check mark in box).
Left click on apply.
Then left click on settings.
Mouse to filter level & select medium.
Left click close.
Left click OK.
Should stop pop-ups.

Hope this helped. Please Rate. Good Luck! Need more help Send comment & I will return.

Anti virus 2009

This is known as a non intrusive advertisement trojan, and it's near impossible to get rid of. The reason is that when this invades your machine it places several inactive copies of itself throughout the computer. When you stop one, the others are basically notified, and one or two more will open and leave several more, but not all of them will open. After a couple of months the number is exponential. Most anti viruses won't find them because they are non intrusive, laying dormant, or are in files that aren't scanned on a regular basis, ie... picture files, screen savers, music, etc... The only sure way that I've found to get rid of them is to completely wipe the hard drive, reformat, and reinstall the operating system.
