The driver is incompadible with Windows 7

Why Windows 7 has this problem? A new programming causes this and it started with the Vista operating sytem before hand
What did Microsoft tell you? Wait for updates from Canon? That is the most likely answer they give everyone I understand
For you to use your canon camera with your computer, you have to download the necessary drivers for the model of the camera that corresponds with your operating system.
To do this, you have to got to the official canon website and visit the tech. support section of the website and see the list of available drivers and softwares of what canon has to offer you.
I have gone through the stress of all that to provide you with this link, where you can download the necessary drivers and softwares you need for your Canon GL2 mini DV digital camcoder.

there all you have to do is to look under the header that says driver and select which driver you want and download it then you can connect your camcorder to your computer and be satisfied.

Been there and done that...no solution. My microsoft x-pertttttt did it for me with no results either.

I have a Cannon GL2 and cannot download the driver to my computer off of the software provided. I use a Vista Home Premium operating system and am totaly confounded by the stupidity I have encountered. I have spent hundreds of dollars and spent hours on the phone with microsoft all to no avail. I will not pay anyone a dime unless they can proove to me they know what they are doing by walking me thru the process and successfully downloading a video. So far nothing on this site has been any better. Even the microsoft expert(after 2 1/2 hours on the phone) could not download the driver to my computer from the official cannon site.

Hi!
Finally someone who has brains! Microsoft wanted to sell me a $399.00 service package before they "fixed" the problem. I told them I would buy the package if they fixed the problem first. After 2 1/2 hours on the phone.......no cigar, no fix, no nothing! I told them to take a hike. Thank you ftw1952
