Question about Frigidaire GLEQ942CS Electric Dryer

Open Question

Frigidaire front load dryer , Fault code F04

Our Frigidaire Gallery series front load dryer , continously turns itself off during the dry cycle and fault code F04 appears. Sometimes we can simply restart the dryer , which will again turn off in a few minutes and sometimes it wont restar till it cools down Same Problem runs but doesn't dry. Fault Code F04 appears. What does that mean. I have replaced the heating element but still will not dry.

it's probably the nylon bushings that the drum rides on. they wear out and the drum rides directly on the pad that the bushings attach to.

What is wrong if my Frigidaire front load dryer

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer has been providing you with an error code "PF". Typically "PF" stands for power failure this can happen if power is shut off during a cycle or the dryer receives insufficient power, which could be an issue with your power cord or control panel. Let's perform a reset on your dryer and you can do this by unplugging the power cord for ten minutes. If you need any additional assistance please feel free to reconnect. -Matt

F04 is "loading lock". most likely problem is that the timing of the gears in the tape loading mechanism is mis-timed.
