No sound coming in compaq presario C700

Evidently you downloaded the wrong drivers. Check make and model of your sound card, or check the onboard sound in the "DEVICE MANAGER." (I'm assuming you run Windows XP). Go to the correct manufacturers website and get the right drivers. Or, it could be something as simple as the speakers are muted or disabled. Go to control panel, sounds and audio devices and make sure speakers are enabled and turned up.

I have a creative sound speakers and model SBS10, but I cannot hear sound on my pc....it is working on other pcs with a good sound output..

You need to Reinstall the Drivers for these speakers. Under your Sound Setting Under Control Panel, Make sure that you have the Right Set up Selected. 2 Speakers, 3,4, 5.1, 7.1, ETC.
