You need to log into the router and make sure that NAT is enabled. Nat allows simultaneous connections to the internet while using only one outside Ip address. Actually the correct term is Overloaded Nat, or Pat, but commonly on D-link routers this is called NAT. Start there and let me know what happens.

All lights are active and green except for the internet light. This is the only red light. What can I do to fix this?

Call you ISP as your user ID and or password in the ppoe or settings was rejected or there DHCP server is down so check with your isp and see if there having issues there more the likely are if not unplug the modem and wait 30 secounds if you get the red light again and it does not change for more then 15 mins to 1 hour your DHCP on the isp end is down. You connetion to the Dslam and or ATM is working but the DHCP server that authencates you on the network via static or ppoe routes has been severed. You need to call them.. Thanks please give me those 4 big thumbs up for unwavering support to your FREE question today!!

I have a 2wire att router that loses internet connection

try this it worked for me. If you use Chrome go to tools, options, under the hood and un-check Predict network actions to improve page load performance, I have no idea why this worked I just know that I have not lost my service since I did this. I stumble around a lot and was always getting the message no broadband service or something of that nature. One time chrome suggested that I try this (no idea why chrome suggested this) so I unchecked the box and now I no longer have the problem of loosing my connection. I was loosing my connection a lot 10-20 times an hour.
Good Luck

Want to know the pre shared key

If you don't know your pre shared key or forgotten it. You need to access the configuration page of your router and create a new network name and a sign a new network key or pre shared key. Create the profile of your SSID/Wireless network connetion under wireless settings.

Got wireless signal but no internet connection

You can try to power cycle your entire network (refresh).
This often happens when you have a large network.
  1. power down ALL Computers and disconnect the desktop from the D-Link Switch.
  2. turn off all SLAVE AP's first.
  3. Turn off the Master AP and disconnect one end of the Ethernet.
  4. Turn off the D-Link Switch and disconnect one end of the Ethernet.
  5. Now, turn off your modem.
Leave them for about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your urgency.
Turn on and connect all devices in the EXACT order.
  1. Turn on the modem. wait 2 minutes.
  2. Turn on the D-Link Switch and wait 1 minute. Then connect the Ethernet to the MODEM.
  3. Turn on the Master AP and wait 1 minute. Then connect the Ethernet to the D-Link Switch.
  4. Turn ONE of the Slave AP's. Turn on your Laptop. try to connect to the Internet. If successful, Disconnect from the network on the computer and proceed to turn on the rest of the Slave AP's, Laptops, and Desktop. If its NOT successful, power on the Desktop and try to connect to the internet.
  • If the desktop connects to the Internet, Check your D-Link's homepage "192.168.1.1" (default) for any wrong settings. If it does not connect, check your DSL Modem's settings.
If the above does not work, post what you did the day before this happened. Probably something small might have messed with the network.

Cannot connet to internet

Device communication issue! This sometimes occurs fro many reasons mainly FIREWALLS~ In order to keep this from happeninig you should probably setup a static address on your laptop or if your network has a SSID, it needs to be manually set into your adapter because it is not picking up your network. This often happens when you use your laptop in or on other networks. Easy fix, but need answers to these questions!
