I had the oven on and I heard a loud popping noise, now the stove doesn't work (eg. the letter Fy1 comes up , the stove makes beeping noises, the stove door locks and unlocks etc.) The model # is ES200/300.

Kenmore oven 317b6034

It sounds like the heating element is faulty. If it has a short, it will have a damaged place. A short causes a build up of amps until it can't take anymore and then a action will happen like a fuse blowing, which it the noise you hear. You can get replacement elements on Amazon fairly cheap. To fix, unplug the stove. Lift and tug on the element to pull it out of the socket. It is usually easy.

Ge true temp oven

I think the problem stems from working on the board with the power on. MicroProcessors don't like that. If by "popped" you mean made a frying noise, you are going to have to replace the board.

I have a 2 yo fridgedare stove that the oven went out..the stove top is working but now oven isn't? The other day while i was cooking a loud noise like a "boom" happened and now oven not working?...

The noise you heard was probably the oven element short circuiting to earth. If the cooktop and grill are working then the fuses, internal/main must not have blown. If this is the case the oven indicator light should come on when you turn the oven on. If it does the oven element is definitely faulty and needs replacing.

Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

My wife heard a loud pop while baking, the oven will no longer bake, the stove top still works so does the clock ect. Elements are fine just don't warm up. I have a kenmore 790, is there a internal fuse...

Check the baking element, sometimes these will make a popping sound if they burn into. Also a lot of your components are behind the knob/clock area.

Electric Dbl Wall Oven-loud popping noise at end of self clean

Bill ,i dont suspect the control unit is the problem im going back to the loud pop you heard I would say the pop you heard was one of the elemants blowing and that the reason the the breaker tripped if you say the clock, timer and light functon are ok it more so points to an elemant in most cases when an elemant blows it breaks the circuit .but the other componants also work when you reset the breaker i think in this case bill i would call a electrician it needs testing, sorry i could not help this time bill, but do not hesatate to contact me if i can help you again.adrian

Oven will not heat

Although I am not familiar with this oven, living in the u/k, I would say that without any doubt the oven element(s) have failed, more so if the fan is working, so I would have hesitation that you replace the suspect element (s)..
Plz let me know how you get on.Thanks.
