Well, if the modem you have is a 2-Wire wireless router/modem, you need to pick up the router/modem, look on the bottom and it has the serial codes and what not there. Look at the number/letters that have ( ) in front and back of the code and that is your wireless code without the ()'s of course..

Hope this helps!

How to connect to internet doesnt recognize router password

Are you sure of Wifi password is correct?
if so, 1st; try restarting your ipad by holding down power/sleep button untill it show "Slide to shut down" leave it off for 10 seconds & then re-open it.enter the Wifi -password, sometimes this step works.

2nd solution ; try resetting your iPad network settings, it will not affect your ipad in any thing except it will forget all entered passwords for any wifi you have already connected before. go to General from Setting, choose resett, and inside only reset network setting, shut down ipad & try to connect to the wifi again. Hope this solution work for you. Also you may try shutting down & opening your router again after 10 seconds while off. Good Luck.

Want to add iPad to network but dont remember my password

What you want is to add an iPad to your network. If you mean logging in on your Wifi at home, that is easy, but you probably mean you have lost the password of the router.
Reset the router to factory default: pull the plug and leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes.
Check on the backside if it has a sticker with the default passphrase. After starting it up try this passphrase on the iPad.
If it has no sticker: Try Google: type in your brand and model of router with added "default wpa password". This might give a default password for your router on some site.
Do learn to adjust the password on your router: mostly you can type the IP address of the router in your browsers address bar
Try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0 (might be mentioned on the sticker also) then you get a weblogin page for the router.
Mostly you will need as user 'admin' and a password on the sticker.
Search for WPA2 passphrase in the setup and set that notch and adjust to your own password.

Use this password on the iPad:
goto settings - wifi and choose your network, give in your own password.

Good luck!!

My iPad is asking for password for NetGear 95 I don't know it

Is the Netgear 95 your wifi router? If it is go to settings/wifi click in the Netgear 95 then click the little "i" on the right for more options. If you have an option to "forget this" click it. Do a hard reboot of your iPad (holding down home and lock button) till it restarts. Once it powers up go back to setting/wifi and try again to connect. That's how I got it to work on my iPhone and iPad when encountering the issue.

If that doesn't work restart your router. Last resort is to change the password but again I've never had to do that. The steps above usually did the trick.

Just bought an ipad mini i have a netgear router the ipad is asking for a password where do i find this?

Did you set up a password for the router? If you did not, then check on the user manual what default password the router has. Usually its 1234 or 12345678 or even a lot of numbers. Consider the back or bottom part of the router device. Sometimes manufacturers put the default passwords there.

I'm trying to connect a new iPad to our home wireless network. The network key for the Linksys WRT5-4G router that always works on every other computer does not work with the iPad. What steps do I need to...

  1. From the iPad's Homescreen, tap Settings. (This assumes you didn't rearrange your apps. If you did, find the Settings icon wherever you put it.)
  2. In the Settings screen, tap Network.
  3. To start the iPad scanning for available wireless networks, tap the WiFi button and then slide the slider to "on". In a few seconds, you'll see a list of all the networks near you, whether they're public or private (if you don't see the list, there may not be any within range).
  4. The list of WiFi networks you'll see will include two kinds: public and private. Private networks have a lock icon next to them; Public don't. The bars next to each network indicate the strength of the connection - more bars means a faster connection.

To connect to a public network, just tap the network name and you'll be online.

  5. If you want to access a private network, you'll need a password. Assuming you've got the password, tap the network name and enter it the password. Then tap the "join" button at the bottom right of the screen. If your password is correct, you'll connect to the network and be surfing the web. If not, try entering it again (assuming you've got the right one, of course).
  6. Advanced users can click the arrow to the right of the network to access more technical configuration settings. Everyday users probably won't need to look at these options.

I have a WZR-HP-G300NH router and am having trouble connect my ipad to it. Ipad is asking for a pass word. How do I fix it?

I recently got this router and had trouble keeping a wireless connection to my ipad. On the router, I set up security with wpa2/psk and set a password and was able to enter that password on the ipad and got a connection but only briefly. After repeated losses of connection, I took encryption off and now it works fine. This is a terrible solution though and eventually want to get encryption back on .

My linksys router will now allow my Ipad to connect. The ipad does connect to other routers execept mine

usually with the IPAD. You need to put the correct settings into the wireless connection settings.
You wll need your SSID (the name your router shows up as when you search for wireless connections)
Your security type ( WEP or WPA/WPA2)
your wifi password.
I have connected many IPADS, as long as you have the correct details it should work
Are you setting the correct security type?
