Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Turns off randomly. and won't come back on. Till I plug it in.

I got mine used. From the place I usually get my old phone repaired at. It worked  fine for two days until today. I guess the on and off button doesn't work either. But it turns off randomly and will not go back on until I plug it in to the wall to charge it. And usually it won't stay on long and I have to pull the charger out of the phone and plug it back in. Works fine otherwise. Please say this is fixable because I don't want to buy a completely new phone.

GRENADES3990 - It sounds like a firmware problem on the phone so you should get the phone reflash to see if that fixes the problem.

AZHARLEYBOY - Take the phone to a mobile service center and ahve the software reflash on the phone.

What would cause an iphone 4 to turn itself off randomly?

Sounds like it needs a new battery and or the port on the phone is damaged . Have a close look at the port are any pins bent? Why not ask apple to look at it? As far as the PC goes that would also explain it but have you tried a different cable or socket or even PC? When it is on make sure it's backed up to iCloud

My 42LD450 won't stay on! It turns on for a few seconds and works fine, then the screen flashes then comes back on, then flashes again after a couple seconds, then turns off. Rinse and repeat. Tried...

I hope that you can use the warrantee.

Otherwize, it must be possible to repair it with a fried comfortable with electronic because the problem is not permanent. This kind of problem is usually an old capacitor or a bad connection (soldering).
It would be important to check if changing the ambiant temperature fixes the problem. (I.E. move it to the seller for 2h and try..)

The touch screen does not work. I can see the background picture but it doesn't recognize any touch command. It won"t turn off either. If I click the lock button It turns black then turns itself on again.

My phone suffered the same symptoms, i was able to fix it by turning it off and on, waiting for the verizon word to animate, plugging it into a wall charger and I was then able to use the slider bar to unlock my phone, I was unable to select anything else on the phone so i closed it and used the qwerty keyboard to get to my touch settings menu, where i selected calibrate and followed the steps it told me to in order to calibrate my phone, I had to repeat the whole process several times before my phone was back to 100% hopes this helps.

I had this problem last year ... very annoying to say the least.
It turned out to be my battery, it's was saying charged but was not.
I know it sounds far fetched but try switching with someone elses battery, or grab a new one in the store to try for a minute. You may also be able to try using your phone while it is plugged in. If the battery is not too far gone this will work to prove the battery is the issue.
It worked for me and I have heard of others having the same success by switching batteries. The girl that figured this out for me told me these batteries are not meant to be charge for long periods of time, and that plugging the phone in as you go to bed is what was harming mine. This I can't back up, but she was on the money with my other problem so she may be right?

Good luck
