How do I add a 1 in front of phone numbers in my phonebook?

On mine, I go into phone book to the # I want to change, then use the arrow keys on the round dial to move cursor all the way to left (where you would put a "1" before the area code). I just type "1" then "save". Hopefully yours works the same.

Need to change extension numbers

Guessing you mean add or change extension numbers under the buttons, since you don't "add" or change extension numbers on the phone. From your set, press program dial 99 and the button you want to program. then , dial 1+ ext number and press STORE.

Do that for all the buttons you want to change then pick up the handset and drop it back down to exit programming.

MEMORY
Each memory button is capable of storing phone numbers up to 16 digits. Memory
locations 0-9 require you to press the mem button for access.
STORING A NUMBER IN MEMORY
1. Pick up the handset, and press the store button.
2. Dial the number to be stored (up to 16 digits).
3. Press store again.
4. Press a memory location button 0-9, and hang up the handset.

INSERTING A PAUSE IN THE DIALING SEQUENCE
Use the redial button to add pauses to a dialing sequence, for example after you dial
9 for an outside line. A pause is approximately 4 seconds long.

CHANGING A STORED NUMBER
To change a stored number, you just replace it with a different number using the
procedure for storing a number.

DIALING A STORED NUMBER
1. Pick up the handset, and wait for a dial tone.
2. For numbers stored in memory locations 0-9, press the mem button, and then
number of the location in which the desired number is stored

Need to program numbers in speed dial (or replace lost manual).

Hi,

If you go to the following webpage there is a link to the manual:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005NGRJ/plaza101-20/ref=nosim/

It is under the 'Product details' section. The section on managing the memory start on page 34.

To change a stored number you just follow the initial instructions, namely:

1. Press the STORE button. ENTER TEL. NO. is displayed.

2. Use the keypad to enter the phone number. If you
want to add spaces instead of dashes in the number,
it will dial correctly.
• To scroll forward or backward, use NEXT or
PREVIOUS.
• To erase the current digit, press ERASE.

3. When finished, press STORE. ENTER NAME is
displayed.

4. Use the keypad to store a name (up to 16 characters).
More than one letter or character is available in each
of the number keys. For example, to enter the letter
“A,” press the 2 key once. For a “B,” press the same
key twice. For a “C,” press it three times.
• To add a space, press NEXT.
• To scroll forward or backward, use NEXT or
PREVIOUS.
• To erase the current digit, press ERASE.

5. When finished, press STORE. MEMORY LOCATION is
displayed.

6. Press the memory location number (0-9 or A, B, C) to
store the number.

I hope this helps you.
