Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Below is a link to common solutions that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.
It provides exploded view imagery, belt routing diagrams, parts imagery and function, parts ordering and shipping information, error code details, just about anything you need to get your appliance up and running again. Once you access the site you will be able to navigate numerous pages of information on your product. You will need to enter your model number to access your product information.

Tip: Always provide the complete information provided on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the user’s manual. This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint. I will post the most common solutions to your complaint. For more specific information please refer to the tip and/or link provided. Here are some things to look for:

If your oven won't bake, check these:

Bake igniter
Other causes
Bake igniter Usually when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake igniter is weak or burned out. The igniter is a small, round or rectangular device, that's about 1 inch by 4 to 8 inches. It's near the burner itself.

The burner is the tube-type device the gas flows through before it's ignited. It has many small holes on the sides to let the gas, when ignited, form a long, low flame. If the igniter is weak, if it glows red but doesn't get hot enough, or if it's burned out, the gas doesn't flow to the burner and the burner won't ignite. If this is the problem, you may need to replace either the igniter or the gas safety valve. Usually the igniter is to blame.

Other causes Other reasons that your oven may not bake are:

  • The clock settings are incorrect (if you have timed baking or a self-cleaning oven).

  • The thermostat is defective.

  • The safety valve that prevents accidental gas flow is defective.

  • The selector switch is defective.

My belling countrychef 100 G oven won't stay lit

Hi,

There is a good possibility you have a faulty component called a thermocouple, this is heated by the pilot light of your oven and is the most common cause of flame outage.

I would recommend you get a 'Gas Safe' qualified engineer to check it. The thermocouple should be no more than £30.

I hope this helps.

Belling G755 Cooker oven wont stay lit

I'll give this a go! With a cooker like this, you depress and then turn the control knob, press the ignition button and continue to depress the control knob for a few seconds. This is because a device called a thermocouple is heated by the flame and you have to continue to depress the control knob so that sufficient gas flows to heat up the thermocouple. If the thermocouple does not get hot or stay hot then the gas valve is automatically closed - stopping the gas. The thermocouple is a 'flame failure' safety device. If the gas gets cut off then the flame goes out and the thermocouple goes cold switching off the gas valve automatically. However, you are having to try and manually keep the gas going for a good five minutes. I would think that there is either a problem with the thermocouple or the gas control valve! Gas oven wont stay on

If this is electronic ignition, then chances are the burner or ignitor nub has residue on them, preventing the flame detection system from keeping the gas on.

Use warm soapy water and a plastic scrub brush to thoroughly clean the burner cap, burner base, and ignitor nub.

Loss of power to oven clock

Chances are it's the thermal fuse, the the health and safety issue is because the fuse link will only melt if excessive heat was in the area of the fuse. They don't want the user to just replace the fuse as there is a risk of fire if the fuse melted and is just replaced. The cause of the excessive heat needs to be determined.
I had the same problem with a KitchenAid double oven. There was a factory recall on the unit which required replacement of the fan modules, over temp sensors and rerouting of wires.

Oven wont light no gas

Check for any sort of breaker that might have tripped. There could be a safety shutoff that will prevent the gas if ignitor won't work.
